restless feet and legs

For several years I thought I had restless leg syndrome. However, it stopped for quite awhile. I can't seem to cool my feet down when I lay down to sleep. I continually try to find a cool spot on my bed and this happens most of the night. They tingle and feel like bugs are crawling in my feet. When my children were small and we went camping, I needed to put my feet upto or outside the window to sleep. I stopped drinking coffee and eating chocolate to see if that might be an issue. The first night without chocolate was when I started not to be able to sleep through the night. So, I started chocolate again! I have had problems with sciatica...don't think that is related. It is very uncomfortable and is robbing me of my sleep. Any offers of help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow! I have to same thing. But I don't think mine is as extreme as yours though. I do always try to find a cold spot on my bed. Maybe try some strenuous exercise before going to bed? This will tire out your body and you might sleep better.

Hope this helps

Hi and thanks for the reply. It's funny that it hasn't happened for quite awhile. I wonder what the cold place on the bed is about...and in the heat they are more difficult to find....there must be an answer.....thanks
