Amblyopia

My son is in the age of five years and ten month. About a month back he complained about right eye sight. We take him at eye specialist where he diagnosed that child is suffering from Lazy Eye “Amblyopia”. At present, child’s right eye is at 6.75+ and left eye is at 5.50+.

Doctor advised to options:

Option 1:
A patch of left eye so that child should see with right eye to improve the vision but since right eye is at 6.75+ so child becomes totally blind when we puts patch of left eye. Ultimately he begins to cry and never allow eye patch.

Option 1:
An eye glasses in which right glass is 4.00+ and left glass is frost. Child accepted this option with little hesitation and using it from more than a week. I observed that child moves left eye inside which is behind the frost glass. Secondly, left eye seems slightly swollen from bottom after using glasses all the day. I am afraid that frost glass may not effect further to left eye.

I would be grateful if you could advise a proper solution to above problem and feel free to ask any further information.
