Irritable Bowel Syndrome - The bane of my life

IBS is driving my life. I can’t go anywhere. I can’t commit to anyone. I can’t socialize and worst of all I have to be at work from 8:30am to 7pm, which kills me. I just live my life by the hour, as if check marking that okay somehow I will manage to get through this day. I am sick of it and I dream of the world collapsing on me or something suddenly happening to me that I don’t have to live with this burden anymore. I hope
Here is my history

Female, 30 years old, Symptoms exist for 10 years in varying degrees

Symptoms:
• Too much wind in the body, as if everything I eat gets converted to wind. A few years of my life I had difficulty passing wind but for last 2-3 years it is alright. Now I have too much wind. When I wake up. After lunch, I start bloating up. By the time it’s about 4-5pm, I feel a few months pregnant. A weird phenomenon which has been troubling me a lot is this wind somehow traveling back up in my stomach and creating noises. If these were the kind of noises that happen when one is hungry. I could’ve dealt with it but these sound like a fart…which drives me crazy because I simply can’t socialize. These noises come from my left lower abdomen (intestines). Sometimes these noises come from my rectum.
• I have not had a normal bowel movement in years. My stools are mushy laced with mucous. They come out at sporadic intervals, suddenly with a gush of air and loud sounds. I can say that I have constipation. I eat very healthy. I am a vegetarian. I have to go 3-4 times in the morning and I have a sudden urge to go. During the day I don’t feel the urge but I constantly feel as though I haven’t emptied myself completely and there is something sitting in the colon/rectum. I am very uncomfortable at work. I am tired of this feeling of sitting on the edge all the time.
• I totally dread enclosed spaces and quiet places. I feel this gas move around in my rectum and makes noises there too. It hard to explain all this to someone.
• For the longest time, I had this feeling that there is a blockage in my rectum that is causing IBS and I got colonoscopy and endoscopy done and everything came out to be normal
• I have a thick white coating on my tongue, which inspite of scraping in the morning, doesn’t completely go away
• Inside my mouth, in the cheek area, I noticed about 4-5 years ago the skin became a little coarse or scaly and two blisters like things developed on inside of each cheek area. They are not blisters they just look like it. They don’t hurt and have been there for 4-5 years now
• My periods have a mind of their own. Easily late by a week. Day 1 is extremely painful. Flow comes with clots. The flow is on the heavier side. I have cysts on my ovaries. They are not huge. My gynae asked me to take birth control pills but I didn’t want to. I read online and found that agnus castus might help. For last 1 month I am taking Agnus Castus capsules. I can’t say if it has had any effect on me yet. During periods, my stomach completely goes for a toss. I have to rush to the bathroom to pass stool and gas.
• Last 3 years I have had a couple of attacks of eczema on both my legs
• I have had acne on my back almost since teenage and my face started breaking out in the last 5 years
About my personality
As a child and teenager, I was quite competitive and always wanted to achieve and do big things. First in class…front runner in everything. I had an ideal view of the world. As I grew up especially after IBS hit, I became more and more laid back because I thought initiative means too much among people and I can’t afford to do that with IBS. I am generally not scared on things in life. Not scared of taking risks. Not scared of bold moves. I value my friends and family. I care for them a lot. I like to be taken care of as well. I believe that everything happens for the good. Perhaps IBS happened for good because it has changed me as a person :-) But now I am ready to leave it behind and move on. I don’t want to live by the hour…

Any help on this forum would be immensely valuable for me.

Dear madam,
Homeopathy can help you.Homeopathy is a good option for IBS.An individualized homeopathic treatment can benefit you.
Here are some tips;
Try to avoid mental/emotional stress.Stress aggravates your problems.
Try Relaxation techniques and stress management strategies to reduce stress.
Regarding the diet, exclude food items which seems to aggravate your problems.
Do not drink too much water during meals, as this may affect digestion and leads to excess wind.

*Eating too fast can reduce the flow of digestive juices.

*Unwise food mixtures and combinations may lead to disturbed digestion and gas formation.

*Excess wind may occur if you eat fruit after a fatty meal.
(Avoid taking fruits along with vegetables or cooked food.Fruits can be taken on an empty stomach or 2-3 hours after meals.
Do not mix sweet fruits with citrus fruits.)

*Indigestion and gas formation may be due to certain foods such as milk, to which you are sensitive.

Dear advaita,

Please stop taking all the medicines include Agnus Castus.

Please take three doses of Lycopodium Clavatum. 30C at a gap of 4 hours only for 1 day. Do not repeat it on the next 15 days. Do not take any other medicines/herbs in these 15 days.

One dose means:

If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.

If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 1 drop in some 10 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 15 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Best wishes,
Rahiq

Thank you doctor dr faisal, dr rahiq and dr saravanan.

I took antibiotics every few years but not all throughout this issue
I have tried gluten free diets, sugar-free diets and milk free diet for a few weeks each but didnt notice significant difference.

Dr Rahiq,

I looked up Lycopodium clavatum. Although many issues related to abdomen match but other issues related to mind dont match like averse to new things etc. Should it be still okay to take lycopodium.

Thank you all for much help

Regards
