explosive reaction to ambrosia remedy by a 4 year old boy

My nephew is allergic to ambrosia pollen. It was manifested through blocked nose mainly and dry cough. At the age of 4 (in 2008), I gave him ambrosia 30c in the evening. In less than an hour he started breathing shortly and very fast. It never happened before or after. We ended up in the hospital the same night and he got corticostereoid injections + inhalations. It took around 20 hrs for his breathing to calm down despite all the medications. Two years are passed since that episode. He is not on any medications, but we are dreading ambrosia season. The tests showed that he was also allergic to grass and trees but to a much lesser extent.
Please explain this reaction and advise how to go about finding the homeopatic cure for the boy.
Many thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you please give the following information in respect of your son.

1.Whether he prefers warm surroundings ie whether he likes to be covered or he prefers cold surroundings and open air.

2.whether he has a mild disposition or an irritable diposition. How is his attitude towards his friends and relatives?

3.What physical problems, if any does he have.

4.At what time he feels better and at what time does he feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.

5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting his problems.

6.How is his thirst for cold drinks, hot drinks and water?

7.How is the bowel movement? Normal, constipated or loose.

8.Whether the child prefers to move around or prefers to keep still.

Kadwa,

thank you so much for your reply.
1. He is very well during winter. No nose problems. If he is dressed well, there are no problems with cold. He likes summer and warmth too. Still, I would say that during night he uncovers sometimes.

2. He is very fine and polite towards his friends at carers in the school, but at home he is freer and shows other side too. He gets angry at his closest family, but I wouldn't say that was out of normal.

3. He is very healthy child, very few medications taken in his life.
He has allergy to pollen and in spring (he lives in Europe), the nose can ocassionally get blocked, the worse time is late summer, early autumn during weed season when this blocked nose can move onto difficulty breathing (bronchial obstructions)

4. He is very emotianally sensitive and normally very happy, surrounding with lots of love. He is always very active and likes to know what is coming in advance.

5. His father has a strong allergy to ambrosia. That could be one. His father never lived with the boy, mother and boy's grandparents. He comes from abroad once a year. Not sure how much this could influence boy's condition. The boy doesn't quite understand why the father doesn't live with them. The father started a family with another woman aborad. Still, the boy never saw any arguing between father and mother.

6. He never drinks cold drinks. We were never giving it to him and he was never asking for it.

7. Loose for a long time.

8. Always active.

Please give him Lycopodium 200c thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for only one day (not daily) and report back after 15 days.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 1 drop in some 10 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 15 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Dear Kadwa,

May I just tell you that he doesn't have any symptoms at the moment. He is on a holiday by the seaside and this climate suits him very well. Should we wait for symptoms to start (like blocked nose) or should he be given the remedy now. If we do it now, since he is symptoms free, we won't know whether the remedy works or not.

Please advise.

Please wait for symptoms to start. So don't give the remedy now.
