severe metrorrhagia

Dear Doctors,

I wrote in a while ago about an acute case of metrorrhagia that i have been suffering from for quite a while now. i pasted the letter below, so that i don't have to rewrite it all. i assume that no one wrote back because there was a waiting period to see how my last dose of 200c phosphorus went. i had no bleeding for about a week, and then my period came on last sunday. it started slow, and then there was about three days of mostly dark, wine-colored blood. there was some brown. then last thursday i began to bleed with what to me i consider a more normal color. it was heavy, but not too bad. it seemed to be tapering down yesterday; i had one pad all day. but then last night it started to get heavy again and it has been heavy today. i am now on day 9 of bleeding.

should i take another dose of phosphorus? is there another remedy or dosage you would recommend?

thank you -- my original letter is below:

hi,
I'm hoping you can help me with a health issue I have.
i have had irregular bleeding for the past seven years. when it began at around age 30, i had a fairly regular period, but then i would spot for another week. the second week of blood was brown. At that time I had just moved in with my boyfriend and my schoolwork had intensified -- I was spending a lot of time on the computer. Then about a year and a half ago, i started getting a whole new period after two weeks, in effect never stopping bleeding. After a month or two of this cycle, I started bleeding extremely heavily, preventing me from even getting out of bed for days at a time. This was my condition for most of 2009. The blood was mostly bright or wine colored, occasionally brown. When it was at its worst there were huge clots. I tried herbal remedies and acupuncture, but nothing seemed to help. sometimes when i would just stand up i would lose a towels worth of blood and it would break through every layer of clothing. In August of last year I went on the birth control pill as a last resort. I started on lo-ovral and it reduced the bleeding significantly, but i still spotted every day. i tried other pills to see if they could stop the bleeding, but that ended in disaster -- some of the pills returned me to a state of extreme loss of blood (the ones higher in progesterone). In late november of 2009 I had 8.5 hemoglobin. I then took 200c of hamamelis virginiana once a day for four days at the recommendation of a homeopathist friend. This did seem to bring down the bleeding significantly, and I even had days where i had no blood at all! but it did not stop it completely. i think i may have begun to prove the remedy, but am unsure. i did start to get a burnt sensation on my tongue and my wisdom tooth started to really bother me.
Around that time i was also diagnosed with what looks like a uterine fibroid. I went off the pill, and started a regime of herbal medicine, including vitex, chaparral, and liver cleansing roots. In early february of 2010 I took one dose of 200c phosphorous. i immediately seemed to get intensified feelings in my lower abdomen, and that night i had a powerful dream about my grandmother. she had come back to life to heal her whole genetic line. my grandmother suffered from fibroids, and many conditions i have had. my bleeding again went noticeably down after this dose, but did not clear up completely.
three weeks ago i started to bleed heavily again after my period was supposed to have stopped. i panicked and took a dose of phosphorus 200c, which brought it under control again. i noticed after i took it that my jaw, which had felt out of whack all spring suddenly felt normal. then about a week and a half ago it started to happen again. i had so much to do i just panicked again and took another dose. this time immediately after i took it it was like i couldn't see a foot in front of me in time or in space. i had to slow way down, which was interesting because that's what people had been telling me all last year. the bleeding again lessened, but did not cease. now, it is mostly brown, and i see it mostly when i wipe. one day a couple days after that last dose, the blood seemed thinned out by clear discharge.
another thing i noticed after taking the first dose of phosphorus was that my whole attitude towards relationships changed, and i felt much more in possession of my whole self, more careful about who i might offer my heart to,
the whole time that i have been dealing with this problem i have been involved with intellectual & artistic work and have been extensively involved with computers. last year i began to seriously question whether i wanted to pursue this career. i go through periods of feeling very lost and alone, and feeling like a failure. i have felt this in the past weeks very acutely.

other symptoms:
itchy eyes
athletes foot
prone to constipation & flatulence
bent fingernails
numbness in front thigh of left leg
i am tall, slender, small chested, with long brown hair & brown eyes

i am still taking herbal medicine mentioned above.

any advice would be very welcome. thank you so much!

a few other things i forgot to mention:
i had a benign tumor -- a terratoma -- on my right ovary when i was 22, and it was surgically removed, but they did leave the ovary.
i seem to be very sensitive to sudden noises and noises that interrupt me.
i try to avoid sugar and flour and caffeine.

thanks again!!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please continue Phosph-200 one dose weekly and Ferrum Phos-6x ( 4 tablets four times a day continuously for 8 weeks and report.

dear doctor,

i have been taking phosphorus 200c for 4 weeks now and 4 tablets of ferrum-phos 6c 4 times as well. i took my most recent dose of phosporus last night.

however today's i'm developing a fairly intense rash behind my ears traveling down my chest and back. the rash is raised dots of various sizes, and they are spread unevenly. it is slightly itchy, but not very. i also have a headache and feel tired. my eyes feel heavy. i am having some difficulty breathing, and feel somewhat anxious about my symptoms.

things have been going pretty well, up until today - i basically didn't bleed for 3 weeks and then started my period last friday. i did have a few tiny spots (less that 1/8 tsp) of brownish blood the week before my period a couple of times (prior to the phosporus remedy this would have been a lot of blood, so my feeling is that it is clearing up). this period has been pretty normal, a bit on the heavy side. i noticed that i liked the smell of my blood, which seems significant because i haven't liked the smell since this disorder started. i did have a heavy clot come through yesterday morning, but after that passed the bleeding lessened considerably and i've had very little bleeding today.

can you advise about my rash?

thank you,
pistil

pistil wait till mahfooz replies.

Meanwhile please stop phos. 200 but continue with ferrum phos. 6c. If the rashes continue, stop ferrum phos. 6c too.

Do not apply ointments or take medicines for rashes. Let them settle down. If the rashes are representation of toxins elimination you will feel better gradually.

dear doctors,

i realized after posting this that the original prescription was for 6X of ferrum phos, and that i've been taking 6C. i've stopped taking it, since it's not the right dose.

my rash is thick behind my ears on my scalp and neck, and runs down the front and back of my torso. it is slightly itchy, and there are little raised bumps. it seems to have plateaued and is not getting any worse.

my bleeding has lightened, but i am on my 11th day & still spotting.

please advise.

thank you,
/m
