The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Hayfever, sulphur, and semi-success

A few years ago, my local doctor/GP was keen to tackle my hayfever with homeopathy. Whilst the prescription didn't seem to work—at least, not in the long term, it did get me interested. Sadly, having moved house, I don't have the same doctor, so we didn't get to progress this any further. Even worse, I don't know what he prescribed: I just passed the prescription to the pharmacist (a bit silly!).

Anyway, with help from this site, and others, I started to look into the problem myself, as well as getting interested in homeopathy in general. I had some, but limited success tackling the hayfever with low potency Wyethia and Sabadilla (not at the same time) at first, but then last year, I seemed to strike upon the magic cure: Sulphur (30C). I stumbled upon an on-line article which decribed a 'second category' of sulphur patient. This seemed to match me perfectly: it ticked every box!

I took three 30C doses spread throughout the one day—just pilute form, not in water. From then on, the hayfever stopped. Miraculously (although not totally surprisingly, from the info I read that led me to sulphur), my tremendous/offensive flatulence stopped; a depression lifted (which I never realised until then that I had); I had more get-up-and-go than I can remember having in ages.

However, about a fortnight later, I relapsed. I had no idea why. Another single dose of Sulphur 30C fixed the hayfever again (the depression and flatulence not so improved). A week later, another relapse. I think it was at this point, that I tried the pilute disolved in water (avoiding the exact same potency each time), but generally, I had to re-dose every week or so, until July, when the hayfever season lifted.

Similar story this year. I tried totally cutting out alcohol, but without much improvement. However, I'm wondering if this is of any relevance: I seemed to relapse shortly (12–24 hours later) after a breakfast cereal containing peanuts (probably amongst other things). Could be irrelevant, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

So thanks to anyone who is still reading this far—I realise I've written quite a tome! I suppose I'm asking if anyone has any advice, or can suggest a better, more fitting remedy. I know it's not ideal having to re-dose with sulphur so frequently, but my willpower to resist is demolished when my nose is ready to explode and my eyes itch so much. Partly, that's why I'm mentioning this now, as the hayfever season is coming to a close for me.

Again, thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any responses.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You may take Sulphur 200c thrice a day for only one day and see how it goes.

Thanks, Dr. Kadwa! Very much appreciated.

Having taken a 30C dose of sulphur only a week ago, is it advisable to wait at all before the three 200C doses? Or should I wait until the next relapse and then do it?

Thanks again,
Bob

**Yes, you should wait until the next relapse and then do it.
