The ABC Homeopathy Forum

A general cosideration.

A general consideration.

Have noticed that there are very many, especially men, who suffer from los of hair. And many who suffer from anemia, both men and women. This has led me to speculate a little, and I have come to a conclusion. (Especially thinking about the people in India)
In India there are many vegetarians, people who only eat vegetables and fruit. No animal food at all. Probably this has to do with the religion that is practiced in this country.
Basically, this sounds like a healthy diet, but in fact, such a diet is a health hazard for many.
There are several important vitamins, proteins and essential amino acids missing in a vegetarian diet.
Therefore, there is among 'pure vegetarian' also called 'vegans' deficient conditions.

B12 is one such vitamin that is essential for good health, and that does not exist in plants. (Perhaps in tiny quantities in ecologically grown vegetables)
Deficiencies can lead to severe anemia (pernicious anemia), especially in older people.
This vitamin is important for children's growth, we see today in many countries with inadequate diet that children remains small in stature. And young children who live solely on vegetarian diet, can develop severe deficiency symptoms.
Some symptoms of B12 deficiency: Tiredness, indisposed, weakened resistance, concentration difficulties, memory impairment, sleep problems, brennende, rød tunge og dårlig apetitt. Also, depression and paranoid reactions may occur. Etc..

It can also occur mineral deficiency in a vegetarian diet. One example is the mineral zinc.
Although there are plenty of zinc in plants, this type of zinc is difficult for the body to ABSORB.
Symptoms of zinc deficiency include, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, growth retardation, buzzing in legs and arms, etc, etc.
I can not address all the shortcomings that a vegetarian diet leads to, here and now, but my point is that many of the illnesses we see here on this board, has to do with an inadequate diet. For example, can the inclusion of eggs in the diet lead to a big gain, health wise.
If anyone has opinions on this, they are welcome to give their considerations.

Sincerely, Parakletos.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
brennende, rød tunge og dårlig apetit: burning red tongue, and poor apetit.

Dear P'tos,

It is nice of you to make this post. Yes, many Hindus and Buddhists are vegetarian because of their religious diktats.

Can you suggest herbs/fruits/dry fruits/ nuts etc.that overcome these deficiencies.

It is true that just homeopathic meds by themselves will not get you back to total wellness. Dietary supplements are needed to over come items deficient in your daily food.

Do not doubt that there are many good vitamin / mineral products. But we humans were not created to eat pills.
When one religion or man-made philosophies forcing people to eat food that makes them sick, it should flash a warning light.
Now, I do not think that my posts here on the forum can get the whole Hindu and Buddhist world to change their diet :-)
So it's probably a smart idea to take a good vitamin / mineral supplement.
You can altso look at this link:

It'd be superficial to conclude that lack of non-veg food leads to hair loss in Indians. This is because majority of Indians consume non-veg food at least occasionally. Only a small minority stay away from animal food owing to religious reasons.

It's a good step to suggest stuff to vegans to get proteins/minerals from other foods which they may not get from animal food.
