Dementia with depression

My mother, age 89, has been diagnosed with 'moderate dementia' by a traditional doctor. A wholistic practitioner said he would not clinically diagnose her as such, although there were certainly problems. He found adrenal insufficiency; dehydration from not drinking enough water, and some depression. Her health overall is fairly good for someone her age. My concern is her depression, moods, and lack of will to live life.

Her symptoms are:

Complaining and memory problems (e.g., recently had her bathroom ceiling repaired. She complained bitterly that painters had painted over a mirrored ceiling, although the mirrors are on the wall, not the ceiling.)

Wants to stay in bed much of the time
Gets upset and angry with most any change (e.g., upset when we replaced old vacuum cleaner; bought new toaster oven, etc.)

Has been using swear words (e.g., called her caregiver a bitch), which is totally out of character. She is a generally sweet and kind woman, albeit she can be critical at times, but never swore.

Sensitive personality. Guilt feelings that she didn't do a good job raising her family. (She did.)
Tends to be cold. Low adrenal function, for which she has been given a combination homeopathic remedy, Adrenapar.

We recently had to change her caregiver/companion, who's with her daily but not overnight. She was so upset with the change she said she was going to throw the woman down the stairs (she didn't and wouldn't); that she won't ever go out of the house again; that she won't eat. (She has.)

She is highly intelligent and remembers a lot, but also often forgets what she said the previous day. Short-term memory problems.

She takes no medications. Has several vitamins (e.g., B-12; Omega 3; K2 w/D3) she takes (although at the moment has refused to take them because of the new caregiver).

Osteoporosis.

Likes to eat sweets (pastries, ice cream; fruits), carbs (bagels, farina).

Any advice you would offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks, will use as you suggested.

She also has complained of dizziness. Should these remedies help with that?

Thanks again. Much appreciated.
