alopecia and adenoids
Dear Joe,My son 13 is suffering alopecia from the past two years. In between he had responded to the application of creams and lotions as prescribed by a skin specialist but the spot has resurfaced. He has nasal adenoids which are enlarged and get infected . he is overweight for his age ( 60kgs) . Due to the adenoids getting infected time and again, he has suffered various bouts of fevers and cold. Whenever he has anything cold, his adenoids get infected and he catches a cold . We have been suggested Phosphorus acid 200 twice dauily in pill form for alopecia . For the adenoids the combination of Gelsimium 30, kali bich 30, apis 30 and aconite 30 in pills administered at 30 min interval each . this we have started since the past two weeks. Although the cold seems under control, there is no improvement in the hair growth,
I have read with interest some of your posts on hair fall and the remedy Arnica 30 C.
Could you suggest a suitable remedy for the Adenoids and the Alopecia.
We live in Mumbai , India near the sea.

60kg for a 13 year old boy is OBESE. This is not a condition that affects a child overnight and you the parents must take full responsibility for not having controlled his food intake throughout the past few years. It is your duty today to ensure that his weight is brought down ASAP by controlling his food intake and insisting on him exercising on a regular basis.
Nat Phos 6x has helped Obese patients to reduce their weight by about 1kg per week. Give him this remedy dose 2 tablets taken after each of 2 meals and report his response in 2 weeks. You must have an accurate personal weighing scale and record his loss of weight weekly.
It is likely that his other problems are due to his obesity and if you do succeed in reducing his weight he may find that these ailments are also cured.
You can use Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily for his Alopecia. You can also massage the hair roots with Arnica Q in a 20% emulsion with Olive oil as this stimulates the growth of the hair,
Adenoids is best left alone for the moment till he sheds his weight and we can try to help him in a few months.
Stop all other drugs and remedies you are giving him today and report progress weekly.
