Combined Remedies for LAbour?

Hello dear forum people!

I visited a health store yesterday and a shop assistant recommended I buy a remedy for using during the labour.

I decided to ask here if it is a good idea:)

The remedy (oral spray) to use during the labour - every 15 min up to 6 doses) contains:
Homoeopathic potencies of Arnica 12c 30c, Bellis Perennis 12c, Hamamelis 30c, Hypericum 30c.

Also there is a combined formula to use a couple of days before the labour and it contains:
Homoeopathic potencies of Arnica 5c, Caulophyllum 5c, Cimifuga Racemosa 5c, Gelsemium 5c, Pulsatilla 5c

I was very tempted to buy those two:))

Would appreciate any opinions!;)
Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Avoid any combination homeopathic remedies.

Thank you Jewish Homeopath for your opinion.

I am just wondering: People could anyone explain to me WHY the general answer to using combined remedies is no-no?

All I have heard as an explanation is that 'it's not proper homeopathy' and 'if you use several remedies at the same time you won't be able to determine which one worked'

BUT PEOPLE - who cares which remedy worked if it DID WORK?

In the acute situations (like accidents/labour/flu etc) it's difficult sometimes to pinpoint an exact and correct remedy.
Yes, of course, there is a possibility of one remedy counterracting with another - but with a careful approach only complementary remedies can be used together and then I don't see the reason WHY NOT?

Also - Rescue Remedy - IS a combined remedy and it WORKS.

From experience - I used a combine remedy during the flu pandeic - and it also worked.

SO WHY not? Is it just a 'moral' issue or there are real reasons for keeping away?

Thank you!

Homeopathy's basic principle is treating symptoms with an individual medicine that has exhibited similar symptoms in a prover (a healthy individual who volunteers to test the homeopathicity of a substance). So the basic bedrock of homeopathy is not supportive of combination medicines. This is the reason why strictly classical homeopaths look down/frown down upon combinations. Some homeopaths use them sparingly. Using combinations for everything is polypharmacy and has some risks including complicating the symptom picture, suppression of the disease, and making the response of the vital force in-effective and makes the management of a case difficult from long term perspective. Many heated and intellectual discussions have taken place on this forum itself about this. if you want more information you can browse through those threads.

This doesn't mean combinations don't work. They do work sometimes. Some homeopaths do get results with more than one medicine. But this method is not ideal and can't replace the proper homeopathic approach.

Commercially they are viable too :) Just like you, many are tempted and the profits from combinations help the manufacturers stay in business.

Rescue remedy is not a homeopathic remedy. It's a combination of Bach flower essences. Bach flower essences and homeopathic remedies differ in application/principle/therapeutic mode of action.

dont mess with such--affects not just you but 'child to be'---best approach at this time is lok into any complaint sthat actually exist with you currently--and use such to guide to homoeopathic treatment

Thank you very much for your replies!

yes, I understand that the best is too work with the symptoms at the time.
But what I am saying is that often the situation is too acute to be able to recognise the simptoms clearly! and there is no one to consult!

I know that Rescue remedy is BAch Flower essense and not homeopathy - but is quite similar.

If you do not know what to do in emergency then combination is a good choice than to suffer.
