The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Autistic Daughter

I am hoping someone could recommend what might help my daughter.
She was delayed in all her milestones. She started crawling at 13 months, walking at 20 months, was mostly non-verbal until 4years old, except for echoing. She still speaks in mostly 2-3 word sentences and echoes often.
As a baby she cried almost constantly from the time she was born, unless she was closely held or snugly bundled. She has been vaccinated and appeared to worsen with each vaccine.
As an infant, she kept ear infections and is still prone to them.I had never seen a newborn have chronic constipation before her, which she kept until she was about 4 years old,at which time she developed chronic diarrhea and currently at best has loose stools.
As an infant, she was very floppy, like there was no muscle tone but has improved with time and physical therapy.
She has very pale complexion with a few freckles across her nose, not very many moles but,she does have a fairly good size birthmark on the left side of her neck that is slightly raised and brownish in color. It looks kind of spongey. She has medium brown hair. The hair is thick but the strands are fine. She has clear blue eyes and red lips that are a little thin.
Not sure if this helps but,she sweats very little and seems to catch any illness that's going around, often times it will take a month or two for her to get well.If she gets better sooner,it's like she will come down with the same illness about a month later.
She is a very well-behaved child. She does seem to be lost in imaginary play by herself. She has a very hard time staying focused on anything, especially schoolwork for very long. She makes alot of unintelligible ramblings and hand flaps alot. She is very sensitive to sound and somewhat to light.Sound seems to be the worse,as she keeps her fingers plugged in her ears most of the time. She loves other children but will venture off to herself. She adores books and is a perfectionist. If there should be a torn page in a book she will get upset and most likely rip that page out.She also has a constant need to prowl in anything, yet she likes to line her toys up or try to carry all of them with her wherever she goes. She likes her day to be routine and not alot of unexpected changes.
She does not liked to be touched much unless it's a full embrace when she is the initiator. She does like for the inside of her palms to be stroked and the top of her head, again this is only when she says.
She sleeps mostly in a semi-fetal position and is usually covered from head to toe.Sometimes she will uncover completely but not often.
My pregnancy was very chaotic with her. It's almost like I was grieving for her before she was born. There was alot of adversity in the families. Her father was an alcoholic and drug addict. He did not seem to bond with her.He had very little to do with her until she was about a year old.He has since recovered from his addictions and is now a very loving father.
I have tried to keep her on a gluten/casein free diet for almost 4 years now.I also try to keep her away from white sugar, artificial flavorings and food dyes.
I think this pretty much sums things up.I apologize if this post is very long.I was not sure what would be helpful,so I posted everything that came to mind.
If anyone can help me help her,I would appreciate it more than words could ever say!
There is one more thing, she does not know how to tell time or read a calendar, but she seems to know the day of the week and even the minute of every hour.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I forgot to add that she is now nine years old.

charville last decade
A few other things I forgot to mention.I'll try my best to sum it up this time.
She was delivered full-term by sceduled c-section because she was fully breeched and the placenta was matured. After she was born she had a low-blood sugar level.
Another thing, she is a very picky eater. The only vegetables she's likes is cooked broccoli and sliced baked potatoes. She is a tall, thin girl. Her appetite is large. It's like she cannot get full on the foods she will eat.She does not like fruits either, except in the form some juices. She absolutely hates bananas in any form. She,also takes bouts of not having enough to drink.
She did not sleep through the night until she was around 4 years old.At times she still has a hard time sleeping through the night, now.

1) Can u shed more light in above .

She wakes up ready to start her day regardless as to how early it may be.She does cry out in her sleep quiet often. When she was younger, she would seem to wake from night terrors.
She sleeps mostly in a semi-fetal position

2) Can u describe this .Yes,she mostly sleeps on one side or the other with her knees out in front of her,but not entirely pulled up to her chest.Every now and then, she will sleep on her back with her arms thrown back over her head.
She does not liked to be touched

3) Please give more details )
She does not like to be touched unexpectedly, whether it's the arm, head, leg, etc. She seems to need to know what to anticipate.
What does she fear
She mostly fears wide open spaces and heights. She will climb almost anything as long as its enclosed. But She does not like flights of stairs, even with handrails.

Lets try phosphorus 30 c .

The dosage is as follows

Please get phosphorus 30 c in liquid or pellets form .

The dosing proceedure is as follows .

Pour 2 drops of liquid of phosphorus 30 c in a 250 ml spring water bottle.

Alternatively put 2 pellets of phosphorus 30 c in a 250 ml spring water bottle and allow it to dissolve on its own which will take some time .
.
Once u pour the drops in the bottle/pellets have dissolved , shake the spring water bottle very gently to allow uniform mixing .

Take a capful from this bottle .This makes one dose.

Wait for 30 minutes .

Take another capful . This makes second dose .

Wait for 30 minutes

Take another capful . This makes third dose

Thats it .

No repetition of the medicine .

We now wait and watch her behaviour for 15 days .

Please note that the medicine is not be repeated in these 15 days .

Restrictions:
1/. Nothing should enter the mouth for 40 minutes prior to, or after taking the remedy.
2/. Do not touch the tablets with your hands ( not applicable as u have medicine in liquid form ) , tip them into the cap of the container they came in and then into the water .
3/. Avoid coffee, tea (including green), and other sources of caffeine such as some fizzy drinks and large amounts of chocolate.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT .
4/. Avoid wearing perfume/aftershave, or exposure to anything with a strong smell while under treatment. This includes any and all essential oils, and incense.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT .
5/. Avoid the consumption of excessively spicey foods
6/. The use of medicinal herbs, either as 'teas' or supplements should be avoided during Homoeopathic treatment, as should the use of over the counter medication, unless this has been recommended by an MD.
7/. Nothing of a medicinal nature should be applied to the skin

Please also remember as explained that the 3 doses has to be taken once .
No homeopathic medicine should be repeated until the reaction to the initial dose is observed.

Well if the remedy selected is ok then the first sign of improvement will noticed in the first few days , otherwise no effect will be observed .

In case of any confusion please ask.

You might want to see the book Impossible Cure by Amy Lansky, Phd. who has written extensively on her son's cure of autism with Homeopathy.

She has her own homeopathy forum.

Dear Vikas Grower,
I tried the phosphorus for my daughter, the way you suggested.
It has been a couple of weeks, now.I have noticed no changes in her.
Since I failed to mention family medical history in my earlier posts,I thought it might be important to do so now.On the paternal side there is a history of high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries, diabetes, bloodclots, cancer, alzheimer's,ocd and bi-polarism.On the maternal side there is a history of heart disease, alzheimer's,diabetes, human papilloma virus, mild scoliosis, high blood pressure,cancer,bi-polarism,manic depressive, ocd, bloodclots, migraines and ADD.
Also, for the past five months she has been biting along the outer side of her index finger whenever she gets upset about something.Thankfully,it is not enough to break the skin.
She gets easily spaced out mentally and scripts alot from commercials and television shows she has seen.It is very hard to keep her on task to do anything when she is like this.It is almost a constant battle to keep her focus here in the real world at times.
She cannot swim but she is almost like an entirely different child in water. She seems totally at ease and much more coordinated while playing in a pool.
Her birthmark,I mentioned in an earlier post is on the front left side of her neck.It is rough in texture and almost blackish in the center.it seems like it itches at times.I do not know if this is important but I thought it might be better to mention this. She has a cluster of blue veins that is slightly noticeable alongside her left jaw and underneath it.These were very noticeable when she was younger. They looked like bruising.
I have noticed that she seems physically weaker on her right side. This too,was more noticeable when she was younger.
Another thing, some past teachers have learned with my daughter, loud noises, yelling and aggression will make my child very withdrawn. She has a very sweet dispositon and rarely ever gets angry but when she does she definitely has a temper.
Storms make her a little apprehensive but nothing near hysterical, just a little on the antsy side. She has a profound love of animals but does not like for them to be on her.She is fascinated with anything to do with science especially with outer space. She is not very good with math.
She has an obsession with peoples hair and wants to part the hair to see the scalp. She has pinned more than one child down at school,in order to do this.
That is everything I can think of to post.If you have any suggestions on what to try next,I would be very interested in knowing which way to turn next.I appreciate your help more than words could ever express.

There is three more things I just thought of about my daughter. She acts quite a bit younger than her age,she loves to go places and she has a large head.It kind of looks tall.At the age of nine years, her head measures larger than most adults.

charville last decade
Can she stay alone or fears it .

vikas_grower last decade
No fear of staying alone.

charville last decade
That is one of the hardest things with my daughter. She prefers to stay away from everybody most of the time.If I let her stay that way,it's very hard to pull her back into reality.

Once its 4 weeks . Please give one dose Phos 200.

That is Pour 2 drops of liquid of phosphorus 200 c in a 250 ml spring water bottle.

.

Then we wait & watch

Thank you for your help!I have studied homeopathy for a few years, now. There were a handful of other personalities she seemed similiar to.I could not put my finger on just one though.I appreciate your guidance with this.

Can u shed more light on the fact that she is well behaved .

Does her head sweats during sleep .

Is there any time of the day when she is worse as compared to rest of day .

vikas_grower last decade
Can u shed more light on the fact that she is well behaved.
She pretty much does as she is told to do or not to do.She might fuss about it a little bit but will usually oblige. The only exception to this is if her sensory issues are elevated. Then she will usually try to run to her room or anywhere she can put some distance between her and whatever is expected of her.
Does her head sweats during sleep .

No.She has never been able to sweat very much at all.She tends to overheat very easily. She loves to play outside no matter how cold or hot the weather is.

Is there any time of the day when she is worse as compared to rest of day .She does not appear to feel worse any certain time of the day.
She does complain of headaches quite often.I have not noticed any specific time the headaches happen.Since her speech is limited I cannot get her to tell me where the headache is located.
Another thing I wanted to mention is she has excellent memorization skills. This is the one area she is truly gifted. Also,at times she is very good at drawing pictures, with alot of detail.
She is a 'momma's girl'.
The other day when I gave the families medical history I failed to mention my own.I have severe anxiety attacks.Sometimes I can feel the attacks coming on other times they happen without warning.
Just throwing this info out here,in case it matters. Her father has a difficult time with reading & writing. He is not much into learning in that fashion but he can fix about anything with his hands, machinery, engines, etc.

charville last decade
One more thing. She loves to wear hats, especially baseball caps.

charville last decade
I remembered something else. She does not like elevators. It's the motion not the enclosed part she does not like. She does not like to swing either, again it's the motion.

charville last decade
First of all,I apologize for so many postings.
I wanted to add intestinal tuberculosis to the family medical history. Also, there was one suicide of a great uncle.
She has not been sleeping well, lately, but then she never does for very long.I awake of a night hearing her in her room talking to herself.
She goes through spells of extreme giddiness, almost like she's intoxicated. If this continues very long it then turns into great sadness.
When I mentioned she does not like stairs, elevators or swings,it seems to me,that she needs to feel grounded to something. Her physical therapist and occupational therapist says she has vestibular problems. One problem is depth perception. The other problem is not being able to tell if she is 1 foot above ground or 20 feet above ground.

charville last decade
I need to recant one thing. When you asked if she sweats about the head.I said she sweats very little.I did not think of this but if she sweats any at all it is about the head.
I keep her away from wheat and milk because it affects her physically and mentally.BTW,she loves milk, like she craved it.She cannot stand bananas or eggs. She loves sweets but her biggest craving is chocolate. It does not matter what it is,as long as it is chocolate she will eat it.
I said she was behind in all her milestones, there was one she was ahead in.That was her teeth. She had early eruption of teeth. Now that she is older, she is now getting her adult teeth in ahead of her age group.

Dear vikas grower,
Do you suggest I still try the phosphourus 200 c?
I wanted to ask,as I will need to order it soon.
