Are these acne treatments suppressive?

Hi,
I'm new to the forum so hello to you all.

I have been having constitutional homeopathic treatment for some years now for a chronic health condition. I feel homeopathy has helped to manage my condition alot.

One of the physical symptoms I presented with was facial acne, the severity has improved somewhat since hpathic treatment but I still have a few pimples coming up and hyperpigmentation. I do not use any topical antibiotics or retinoids due to the risk of suppression.

I have some knowledge of homeopathy and understand the principle of the direction of cure, suppression etc.

My question is this, is it ok to occasionaly use topical treatments such as diluted apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, mandelic acid creams to prevent & improve the condition of the skin? How about the use of blue/red light therapy? Can they be safely used alongside homeopathic treatment or are they suppressive/contraindicated?

Any advice is appreciated

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Strictly speaking all treatments that don't act on the totality of symptoms are suppressive. But this view is bookish and has nothing to do with the real life.

Thanks for your reply kadwa,
It seems that homeopaths have differing views on the matter of what constitutes suppression, I tend to lean more towards the views you express that it is sometimes practically impossible to avoid it to a small level.

Dear Kadwa,

In answer to my question,do you think it is not too harmful to use apple cider or lemon juice topically on the skin, how about the use of UV light therapy?

Anything put on the acne on the outside is suppressive. UV light, if it has the effect of suppressing - ie, decreasing the acne is suppressive.

You need a homeopathic medicine to cure the psora, otherwise it will cause worse symptoms.

Anything done to the skin from the outside, that decreases the acne is suppressive.

The cure must be via a homeopathic remedy from within to cure the acne. If there are other symptoms, the suppression of the acne may make the other symptoms worse, while a homeopathic cure of the acne will cure the other symptoms.

Anything that is put on the skin to treat acne is suppressive and dangerous.
