Tinnitus, please shed some light

Hello,

I don't know if anyone is familiar with tinnitus but I am hoping someone can shed some light on this.

In 2003, my bite was off and I developed a high-pitch sound that eventually stopped but would come back at times. The times it was there, I ignored it.

About ten days ago, out of the blue, my right ear started humming, a higher pitch hum combined with the high-pitch ringing again. There is also a fullness feeling in that ear at times and it seems like there is some hearing loss from it.

When I am around noise, like the humming of my computer, I won't hear it. As soon as I walk into another part of the house, it's like a warp, the humming starts.

This morning, it seems like the left ear is starting a humming now where that was a high-pitch.

I have done absolutely nothing different before or after this started. After reading many posts and info on T, I am still in the dark as to why this happened. It seems like it is usually from loud noise or ear infections, certain drugs, etc. none of which I have done or been exposed to.

I have an appointment with the ENT this month but from what I have read, that won't be much to help.

I am trying to understand this, I was sick for almost 8 years and am just getting my health and life to where I can work and be a human again and this started. I can understand how and why I got sick now but this makes no sense. There has to be a reason, if I knew a reason, I might be able to do something. I am doing what I can to get through this but now, I am anxious again. From what i have read, different sounds mean can point to different reasons. I had my ears cleaned by my ENT last summer. Have used hydrogen peroxide in my ears a few times this past winter to stop a cold. Nothing happened at that time.

I have been testing my PH, it falls mainly into the normal ranges. I haven't felt great but was feeling better than I had in a while.

For six years, nobody knew why I was sick. There were reasons which when revealed, I was able to regain some of my health.

Please, if anyone can help me understand why when I did nothing differently, does the humming point to something specific? Anything would be better than not understanding why my health has to suffer again for no apparent reason.

Thank you.

Lisa

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
if your bite was out it may be worth a visit to a cranial osteopath to see if this is still partly a problem, as this whole area can affect the ears/tinnitus.

for homeopathic treatment it would help to know if the problems to do with your illness are still around or if they are fully resolved as they might well link in to your tinnitus if they caused other health problems.

Hello Erika,

I still have bite problems, not much has changed from before so I am not sure why it would do this now.

My health problems were mostly due to adrenal fatigue and mercury that led to chronic fatigue, fibro, a whole bunch of problems.

Most of those have been resolved. I am not 100% but I am as well as I was prior to this tinnitus starting, I don't know why it would start now and not when I was really sick.

I agree, the bite has to be corrected and have an appointment, it is the same as it has been for a while.

Thank you for your reply :)

Hi again - good that you have an appointment to have your bite problems checked out. Over time with bite problems all sorts of symptoms in the jaw/face/neck and even the rest of the body can develop. These symptoms can sometimes block the effect of homeopathy.

I don't think I explained that well - what I meant was that because the body gets used to using the jaw in an 'odd' way this throws up other skeletal symptoms over time. so although your health may have been the same your body was all the time, in addition to your mercury/adrenal problems, compensating for wrong posture which brings its own problems that can gradually appear like this.

I have heard that TMJ’s (The Temporo-Mandibular Joint/s) can cause tinnitus

Tinnitus is someting everyone has - but is able to ignore - having learned to block out the sounds of the body's normal workings as a baby .
When you you lose the ability to block out these sounds , something has happened to create this situation.
It is necessary to locate the root of the problem to deal with it.
