burning tongue, sore throat and more and more!!

Hi. I moved from a city I loved to a city I don't love last year in June. Two weeks after the move I got sick and wasn't diagnosed until the middle of August with atypical appendicitis. It had slightly perfed four times and then it leaked on the way out during the Op. I was sick for about a week and a one half in hosp. Fun. Then they thought I had clots in my legs because they were cold and sore and no one at the hosp had told me to get up and walk around and certianly didn't feel like it do I didn't. It is now APril a year later and I now have chronic pain in right calf since op, white noise in ears since op. After the arm sensations died down my neck in two lines under the sides of my lips was numb and timgly. then my lips and my right cheek. I was waking with numb baby fingers in alternating arms then right forearm was numb and tingling all the time. That has passed for the most part though I am experiencing it again to a lesser degree. I think I am getting used to it. and I have chronic pain in forearms just a little towards my hands where one would get tennis elbow. Recently, I have gotten a burning tongue with sores in my mouth for a while on my gums on lower teeth in front. The sores lasted about two days and are gone and have not returned. I had a purple area on the right side of my inner cheek that was quite sore. I have had a twitching eye for three months with inability to focus properly anymore in that eye. I sort of see in double. My left eye has started twitching intermittently lately. Very recently I have had a sore throat upon waking and a feeling of lump in my throat on left side upon rising that waxes and wanes throughout the day but is there most of the time. I have yellow mucus in my nose upon waking and my nose runs sometimes and sometimes not during the day. I have a dry cough. My left calf gets timgly and feels cold. My left leg sometimes feels rather sore and then is cold to the touch. I have palpitations about three to six times a day. Sometimes not a all.(pvcs) My hands are purple and dry on the top, moist on the palm. In fact my entire right side sort of tingles all of the time and I get cramps in the toes of both feet very easily if I stretch them or move them in any way that is not relaxed. I have suffered from anxiety and chronic low lever depression most of my life. That's about it. Oh, chronic neck pain on left side with less on right side. Motorcycle accident about 12 years ago. I drove into a chain that caught me about the throat and crushed a muscle in the front left side of my neck. It is the muscle that cover/protects the jugular. My head is on a tilt as a result.

I am not working very much, financially stressed. My relationship is good with some money stress.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
are you on any medications?

No, I am not. I take a B supplement and I take 2000 mcg of b12 as well.

this is a large amount of b12 is there also b12 in the B supplement?

erika last decade
Yes, I think it's about 200 mcg

Have you been taking b12 for a long time or for a particular reason? I know it is a good supplement and am interested in what led you to it?

I've been taking b12 for about two weeks only after I decided that my burning tongue was perhaps as a result of a b12 deficiency.

om, that's fair enough - it could help with tingling sensations as well. As you are already getting some in your main B vitamin it may be better to take this on alternate days so you don't end up taking too much.
with your other symptoms ----- which ones give you the most worries? which symptoms affect your daily life the most?

I would have to say that it's the anxiety and the lump in my throat that cause me the most grief. I am very susceptible to anxiety brought on by physical sensation.

is the anxiety brought on by the lump in your throat or is it another physical sensation that brings on your anxiety? Is there anything else that causes you anxiety?

So very many things cause me anxiety. Mostly it is bodily sensations, a pain in the arm, (it's cancer or long term rhumatoid arthritis which can lead to cancer) a heart palpitation, (I'm about to die) a gut ache, (cancer of some form or a vein in going to burst) a lump in my throat, (my throat will close) a sore throat, (cancer or lupus) the feeling of being disassociated, (going crazy) tingling in my arms. (MS or Lou gherigs or you name it. Anything out of the ordinary (according to me) I have the worst possible thoughts about these things and irrational fears and then I become anxious and the cycle continues...I've been this way for as long as I can remember. I am very very tired.

I would HIGHLY recommend that you go to see a certified Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner. NLP is a form of subconsious communication and can help you completely overcome your anxiety over your physical symptoms. Please try it if you can. You can look up a professional organization for NLP to get advice on how to find a practitioner in your area. I expect it would cost you approximately $100-$150 for a visit--yet if you get a good practitioner, you could be cured VERY QUICKLY of your anxiety and extreme fear. I am currently in the process of becoming certified myself--and am blown away by what it can do for phobias, negative patterns, anxiety issues, really...anything! Good luck...
