eye problem for my 5 year old

Hi there
my 5 year old daughter has had what i thought to be a stye in the middle of her top eyelid, it first appeared about a month ago and after afew days of bathing with warm water nearly disappeared, howver about 2 weeks ago it came back looking worse than ever, i took her to the doctor who prescribed a course of antibiotics which she completes today and it does appear to be more yellowy like is is coming to a head. However the Dr suggested that it may have turned into a chazalion (cysts) and may need surgical removal, I am obviously not keen for this to happen and wondered if you could advise me of a homeopathic remedy that may help.

Many thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hate to say it but you should have thought of homeopathy before administering antibiotics. They only thrust the problem deep into the body , increase the pressure and the complaints eithr get worse or turn into something else .

Avoid surgery at all costs . Unless she has recently had vaccine shots , the best bet is Hepar Sul 6x morning and night [before bed] for a week . But if the problem starts to clear up rapidly stop the tablets and wait.

PLEASE no surgery. MDieties do not really know what to do after antibiotics and name it something else to impress you.

She may need a progressive treatment due to the antibiotics. Stys and whatever the MDieties choose to call them are easy to treat homeopathically.

Begin with STAPHYSAGRIA 30X. Give her one dose per day for 3 days. One or two pellets or several granules, depending on the size in the bottle.

More is not better. Homeopathy uses least given and when better, stop.

Staphysagria lists stys as one of it's corrections, including teeth and gums and is for the sensitive type of person. If this takes care of the condition, no need to go into any other remedies.

The other remedies for this condition are Silicea 30X and Echinacea 1M. The Silicea pushes anything not good for the body to the surface and hence pushes out/drains cysts of any type. Once opened baby's tear ducts with Silicea, canceling the surgery.

Homeopathic Echinacea is not like the-over the counter-liquid brown herbal. It corrects the blood and is invaluable in cases of inflamation and pus type conditions.

Please continue to post changes as we would like to help in this relatively minor thing to treat and encourage you to use homeopathy in the future.

ABC will have these remedies for you.

Blessings, Sabra

thank you for your replies, I agree that I should have tried homeopathy first, the only remedy I have been able to obtain in silicea 6c which i got from local chemist, can you advise me on dosage for best effect. if this does not work i will try and get other remedies on monday. I am desperately trying to avoid any surgical intervention so really appreciate your advice

Only give Silica once per week, especially the 6C. It is doubtful you will find remedies in a shop unless they specifically sell homeopathy. If you are in England or France, it is easier.

Probably will be a noticable change with the one dose and the second week to finish up. Meanwhile try to find the two others. In potencies suggested.

Hi,
My 7 year old daughter was diagnosed with the same thing. The doctor immediately said that she would need surgery to remove the chazalion. He said it is so large that it most likely won't go away on it's own. I was wondering how the remedies worked for your daughter. And what doses you gave her for how long. On other websites I've read that using staphysagria will help but that it can take up to 4 months before the chazalion goes away. I'd appriciate any information you can give me. thanks

If you were reading and seeing, the Staphysagria was a beginning remedy for over all treatment.

The Silicea, preferably a lower potency as 30X was then suggested.

Silicea "pushes out" and often corrects these types of conditions. It will either push out and drain, or heal from within.

Get a 2nd opinion from another doctor. There should be a way around surgury, though cysts can be tricky.

The problem is that the cyst wall is still there, so even if they drained that sucker, it may just clog up again.

As for the listed remedies, uh. Yeah. Just give her water and pretend you put something in it.

Okay, I just got back from the health food store. All they had was silicea 6x and staphysagria 30c. Could someone please help me with the dosage. Or would it be better if I continued looking for 30x? I'm new to homeopathy and am willing to try anything to avoid surgery on my daughter. She does have an appointment with a different doctor on Friday for a second oppinion. Thanks for your help!

Dont worry about cyst "walls", the body will reabsorb these with the right homeopathic treatment.

Use the Silica 6x - 3 doses a day [morning, mid day , evening]
NO other medication . Advise us in a few days.

Thank you for your help. I gave her the first dose last night , 2 granules of silicea. My daughter has a very sensitive pallet and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the silicea has no flavor and dissolves instanly. I will start giving her the dose you recomemded 3 times a day. Thanks again so very much!

Hi there

havnt posted for a while, need some more advice please, my daughters original stye/chazalion is gradually disappearing, it is now quite crusty and keeps oozing a little pus, it seems to be on its way out hopefully. However bad news is she is now developing the same thing on the mddle of her lower eye lid on same eye and has one on the inner corner of lower lid on the other eye. they are very inflamed and look like typical styes with small blobs of pus on them but do not seem to be clearing up. The dr thinks it must be a bacterial infection and wants to give her more antibiotics but i am concerned that it is more sinister. She is generallly well in herself, can anyone help

Gerth,
When I took my daughter in to the opthamologist for my daughters Chalazion he mentioned that these tend to come in threes. It's interesting to hear that your daughter now has 3! He also said that antibiotics very rarely help with styes or chalazions but in some cases they do. I had my daughter on oral antibiotics and eye drop antibitotics and neither seemed to do any good. The silicea is what seemed to help the most. Along with putting hot packs her eye for 20 minutes 3 times a day. And even though her chalazion is nearly gone we are still hot packing it once a day for 10 minutes to try to avoid any others from forming.

P.S. Thanks Passkey for all your help and recomendations!
