childhood wetting

Hi there

I posted today for first time regarding my youngest child and an eye problem. However I would really appreciate any advice on my eldest daughter. She is nearly eight and has had a history of recurrent urine infections and daytime wetting. She has only recently been dry at night (about 6 months) and had not had any daytime accidents for ages. However the last 2 weeks she has been wetting herself fairly frequently although seems well in herself. She had been under our gp for this problem until about ayear ago, who referred her to a paedeatrician, she had an ultrasound scan which showed kidneys to be ok but that she was retaining a small amount of urine after peeing. He suspects that she had reflux although mildly and wanted to do a more intrusive scan (injecting dye and scanning) but my daughter would not let them do it!!! She was given a longterm dose of trimethoprin and told she would hopefully grow out of it.

I thought we had cracked it but am now concerned that problems are returning. She is an otherwise healthy and happy little girl. Can you please other any advice, as I am keen not to have antibiotics anymore. I am almost 100% sure that there is no emotional reason for her to be wetting. She has very weak bladder control generally.

thnaks in advance

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
There are such things as hidden allergies. Even if known, these allergies irritate the bladder and cause a "got to go" urgency and may be the culprit in this case.

If it has "returned" then think back if any foods have been changed or reintroduced. Are you where there has been an exceptional wet and snow winter? This means that allergy reactions are worse this spring. Things are growing by leaps and bounds.

Does she show any allergies? Sneezing, rubbing nose, blowing? itching?

Think on these things and see if anything seems to ring a bell.

Reflux...bosh!!! MDieties really like to play on the latest named conditions. 10 years ago, we had indigestion, now it is a disease?...and now in the bladder, I don't think so!

Let's see if we can find a remedy for her. Please hold off on any allopathic medicines as all they do is suppress the condition into a corner to reappear later.

Blessings, Sabra

We live in Uk and have had a very wet and cold winter, I am unsure of allergies, she never suffers from any classic signs of having an allergy and apart from the wetting she eats healthily, we had no problems potty training her with peeing but had trouble with her stools she was always constipated and had to really strain to go, even now she only goes every couple of days and can some time leak stools without noticing, this has never been addressed as hasnt been much of an issue but may need consideration. When never seems to pass a proper wee, for example after having a drink she will be on and off the loo until passed. I have often put it down to her being a bit lazy as she is very laid back about most things and very sensitive and mature emotionally. Average at school could be above average if tried harder, very wise little girl who is very artistic, left handed, not very competitive, can seem shy at times with strangers although this is improving. No history in family of simlar problems but I did have pre eclampsia whilst pregnant with her, dont know if this is relevant
no problems with night wetting anymore but di until about 6 months ago.

Hope this gives more info

Dear Gerth,
Must examine "eating healthy." Our old teachings sometimes are not suitable for today with today's changes.

Drink only bottled water. There is very little "good" water left from the tap. A sensitive person could be reacting to this.

Wheat has become very suspect since they radiated it. It has hurt MANY people and permanently.

Maltodextrin is wheat. (food additive) Soy Sauce is made from wheat. Caramel color is wheat. Any soda not clear, is colored with wheat. Splenda is cut with maltodextrin.

There are laws about revealing the contents of foods, so the manufacturers just use another name. Check these things and ask about others from where you buy.

One must give up sodas and especially diet sodas. When there is a urine/bladder condition, this is a must for her and your families' future.

More core fruit. Pears are often better for BM. People need to learn what works for them. Do not drink juices, wrong sugars and made badly.

Do not use spray or smelly stuff in your home. We are being slowly poisoned to death with all these false things to "buy."

I can almost assure you that your daughter is not shy, she is "reading" people and is very sensitive to things around her. She is laid back because she is listening and watching. She is a special child.

I suggest you get a copy of the movie "what the bleep do we know?" whatthebleep.com Watch it several times.

This is about Quantum physics and is very informative for the new lifestyles that will be manifesting these next few years. (It is about people and their actions, not food).

She must be lovingly required to wash out her own undies and take care of her own personal clothing so she becomes aware of her personal hygiene. If the bed is wet, she takes care of changing it and putting bed clothes into washer.

No matter her future, she must take care of her personal self. This will quietly draw attention to the down side of "accidents" and careless waiting to go and care for herself. Right now the child in her is ignoring this.

She must understand this is not a punishment, but the first learning to become a young woman and first steps to growing up. She is too old for "mum" to continue doing this for her.

PASSIFLORA 200X may adjust things for her. 3 doses per day for 3 days and then one dose one week later and another the following week. 3 days and 2 weeks.

Please keep us posted.

Blessings, Sabra
