dr de livera follow up

Dear Joe
I wrote to ask advice for my mother who is 87 and suffers from arthritis mainly in the chranial bones. You prescribed Arnica 1M for a week and she took it. now it is a month since she took it and the following has happened.
She feels stronger and has stopped taking her vitamins because she does not feel she needs them, but the chranial pains are still quite strong. What happens now?
Thank you

I did not recollect treating your mother and checked your previous posts and here is what you stated in your post or September 5:

cranial pain

Dear doctors
I need your advice for my mother.
She is 87 and has cranial pains which sometime are so bad tht she has to take strong painkillers. We have tried Arnica 1M following the advice of this forum, but it has not worked. Can you suggest another remedy, please?

As you will note this post is contrary to your post today and I would like to have some explanation from you as to how Arnica 1M was able to help your mother today when it did not do so a few weeks ago.

Please reply on this thread as I find that you have started a new thread for each of your responses. It is not every prescriber who has the time to dig out your previous posts like me.

Dear Joe,
as I said the cranial pains did not go but yesterday my mother told me that she was not taking the vitamin supplement anymore because she felt stronger. So I was happy to hear that and that is why i want to ask your advice because though the first prescrption did not address the pains it helped laterally with something else for she says she feels stronger and that is certainly a very good result for her. Besides I have to say I do not live in the same town as my mother so it is difficult for me to assess what is going on immediately. I did not know she was not taking the vitamins because she felt stronger unitl yesterday when I immediately wrote to you. But she still needs to take the pain killers for her cranial pains. I am sorry if I gave the impression of being impatient, but you know it is not always easy to stay behind an old person especially when she is far. I have to say she was very grateful for feeling stronger and was willing to follow further advice from you, if you would like to help. I hope I have clarified the situation and I also see physicians on this forum intervening in a case when it has been already taken up by another physician, if they have something helpful to contribute.
Thank you very much

I can only presume from your many posts that your mother's cranial pains are due to Osteo Arthritis which makes it painful for her to move her neck.

The remedy I have often prescribed for Arthritis is Argentum Metallicum 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily. I presume that you are aware of how the Wet dose is made but I shall copy the instructions below:

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.

She can continue to take the Arnica 1M in the Wet dose twice daily but she should keep an hour or so between remedies.

Please report her response in a week.
