baby cries when nursed

I have a four month old boy who has olive skin, happy disposition, but has started crying and pulling off and pulling ear first left now right when nursed. He has a constipated nature and I have been a little constipated lately too. What is the remedy for this and what should my diet be?

It is possible that your baby is suffering from gastric hyperacidity.

The remedy is Nat Phos 6x tablets which you will take as its effects will pass over to the baby in your breast milk. It will also help you to lose weight and will also help your own constipation.

Take 2 tablets 3 times daily and report any difference in baby's response in 48 hours.

Stop the Belladonna.

Thank you I will start the Nat Phos tonight. Is this remedy particular to dark complected babies. I have another child who wakes up crying, sometimes couphing every night and seems to need a drink of water - sometimes he sounds gurgly like acid reflux. But he is slender and fair complected with sandy hair.

I note that you have not taken the Nat Phos which I prescribed on September 27 and I presume that you are continuing to take Belladonna.

When you finally decide to use my therapy you are free to contact me again.

I am sorry to say I have 6 little ones and I did not see your response until today. I did find your prescription helpful and stopped Belladona when I saw the post today - Oct 4. thank you again

Noted.

Yes you can give your older son one tablet of Nat Phos 6x after a meal preferably dinner when you have observed his problem and report his response.

I have taken Nat Phos for a whole day and it has definately loosened my bowels. I am now experiencing some of a laxitive effect.
the baby still seems agitated from nursing. He acts like he is teething though (nurses only 4-5 mins at a time. He is not screeming anymore, (he stopped crying loudly when I tried Belladona from a few days ago). He is not sleeping better however 2 hours at a time. He is not totally constipated (goes once a day) but not alot - is congested slightly too. COuld all be from early teething? 4 months. Also spits up little bits after nursing 4-5 mins.

This is not unusual with babies at 4 months of age. You do not have to worry if he does not poo daily as it is OK to do so every 3-4 days as your milk is being processed and used to fuel your baby's growth.

It is only if he throws up the milk shortly after a feed and shows signs of distress that you will take notice as this can indicate GERD and the remedy is Nat Phos which you will take and which will be passed to baby in your milk.

His poo can be anything from watery to semi solid. It is still too early at 4 months to start teething and when this occurs later is usually when the mother will experience problems from sore nipples if he is used to suck vigorously.

But you know all about this problem with your 6 children.

The baby does seem more content when eating most of the time now. He occasionally still pulls off and cries, but not all the time. We are still working on a sleeping pattern. But we are generally both more rested the past couple of days. Should I keep taking the remedy and for how long?

Glad to note that my 'Joepathy' worked with you taking the Nat Phos 6x which you passed through your milk to baby.

The bonus is that you will also benefit by reducing your weight by at least 1 kg per week.

You may take it for as long as you feel that it is doing some good to you and baby.

I have a four year old son who has trouble with a rash around his mouth area and sometimes around his penis area. It is much worse with red foods, tomatoe sauce, red fruits like strawberries, and orange vegtables like squash and pumpkin - cooked and otherwise. Any ideas?

He sleeps ok but sometimes sounds athsmatic and has a couph.

It is difficult for me to prescribe a remedy unless I am aware of what ailment your son suffers from. This is best done by a doctor who can diagnose your son's ailment and advise you on whether he suffers from Eczema, Dermatitis or Asthma.

When you have this information, please contact me again.
