The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Seeking help on Pregnancy.

I am 6months 3 weeks pregnant. i have taken only homeopathic medicines my whole life.
anyway, I just started taking homeopathic tissue salts calc phos 6x,ferrum phos 6x and kali phos 6x.
my question is -
1- I am taking prenatal vitamins as per my gynae's advice,so is it okay to take these tissue salts along with my prenatals?
2- Is there any other homeopathic alternatives for prenatal vitamins?
3-I am taking 2 of each thrice a day ,is it ok to take these together or should they be taken seperately?

Any reply is highly appreciated.
Thankyou

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
1) Yes you can take them along. But give a gap of 30 mins to 2 hours between homeopathics and other medicines.

2) This depends. Tissue salts do substitute vitamins in some cases and sometimes a constitutional treatment helps. Ideally nothing can replace a balanced and a nutritive diet.

3) 2 pills or drops twice daily is fine. If you want you may take tissue salts on alternate weeks.

thankyou so much for the reply.
so should i take it twice instead of thrice? Also is it okay to combine these three tissue salts?

thanks in advance !

Why do you take these things? Do you have any problems with your pregnancy?
If not, eat healthy, exercise, within the limits of what a pregnant should exercise, and be happy. And proud, remember that you will give life to a human. This is something amazing.
Do not worry, billions have managed this before you. And without any pills. :-)
Good luck, and when the child is born, you must tell us what it was, boy or girl. And what it should be called. Maybe आनंद?
Sincerely; Parakletos

Yes, gudiyachettu, twice instead of thrice. Yes it's ok to combine three tissue salts at a time.

Dear maheeru,
i really appreciate your prompt reply. thanks a lot.

parakletos,
i am very well aware of all the things you are talking about. A mother knows whats good for her baby.
i am very careful in that when I had a fever last month, inspite of my gynaecologist asking me to take a TYLENOL ,i didnt even take it because I didnt want to take any risk when it comes to my baby !
i only took homeopathic medicine and got cured.
One of my pregnant friends had the same problem and inspite of taking TYLENOL she got an infection and had go in for ANTIBIOTICS.
I run away from allopathy medicines of any kind.
As a matter of fact I have taken only homeopathy since my childhood and will continue to do so.
I trust only natural care when it comes to my health and I am a fan of homeopathy having myself experienced (also seen in others) amazing results unimaginable by allopathy treatments.
Ofcourse I know pregnancy is something amazing and I am enjoy every second of it. I want only the best of best when it comes to my baby (like any mother) and thats why I go for homeopathy.

Currently I am in my 37th week of pregnancy. I would very much like to know about the medicines that would be appropriate for me to take during labor.

I am already taking tissue salts kali phos and mag phos.

When should caulophyllum be taken?
is it enough to take it in 30 c potency? I have heard it adviced once the labor starts.
Also I would like to know if pulsatila can help to have an easy labor? I have heard it helps to make the labor easy and quick.
Also I have heard that tissue salts can be dissolved in water and sipped throughout,if so which ones and how to take them?
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

gudiyachettu last decade
gudiya You need not take caulophyllum now.

If you have any symptoms please put them in detail. so that an appropriate remedy shall be suggested.

What you're taking in terms of tissue salts is fine. Mag. phos and k. phos. These are the two that can be sipped through in liquid when labour is close. You can let 5 pills of m. phos and k. phos. in a 250 ml water bottle. From this bottle you can sip through whenever you feel like.

Or you may just continue them the way you're taking right now.

Thanks dr.maheeru for your prompt reply.
im due on december 31st and as of now no symptoms.
I want to have a natural delivery without any other medical interventions and want to make it easy and pain free :)
Do you have any suggestions for this?
Thankyou

gudiyachettu last decade
Hi gudia

As of now you do not need any remedy as you're symptom free. But as you get close to your due date, if you find symptoms then a remedy may be suggested.

If no other symptoms are marked, you may take puls. 200c----dissolve two pills or drops in 250 ml water bottle. Take two to three drops from this bottle as a dose. You need to shake the bottle up and down for 7 times just before taking the dose. You may start this on 31st dec. two doses per day for 2 to 3 days maximum. If any other symptoms are marked, please report so that any other suitable remedy may be suggested.

Thanks dr.maheeru,
i have heard that pulsattila is indicated for turning breech babies. Is it okay to take if the baby is in the normal head down position too? Will it make the birth easier?
So do I need to take caulophyllum along or just pulsattila?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but as my due date is nearing I am getting a bit nervous.
Thankyou so much

gudiyachettu last decade
Hi Gudia

You do not need caulophyllum now.

I didn't say you must take puls. :) But yes it can make the whole process easier but only start on your due date if no other remedy is indicated. It's ok to take even if child is in the right position.

Now you may just take gelsemium 30c one dose(2 pills or drops) per day for three days ONLY. It'd help with your nervousness and unnecessary anxiety. Try to relax yourself and enjoy your days.

Welcome

thanks dr.maheeru.
,I understand that pulsatilla should be taken only on my due date.
i have heard and read about caulophyllum being used widely by homeopaths in delivery,so is it okay to take it when i am near my due date?

thanks again

Clarke mentions very clearly when to use caulophyllum.

Its special sphere in labour is: (1) when pains do not come regularly; (2) when they disappear from exhaustion; and (3) when they are too painful.

Labour-pains short, irregular, spasmodic, patient very weak and irritable.„ŸWeak labour-pains passing off with a shiver.

********

The use of caulophyllum/ and or cimicifuga as an aid for easy labour is often practiced, but the efficacy of it is doubtful.

Here is one feed back from one of our learned member/ prescriber.

Cimicifuga, pulsatilla and Caulophyllum i used with great blief for my wife, but unfortunately ended in C-section delivery due to failure of induction, only rather pain while induction.

I do not use any medicines during induction period and before c-section i gave her Arnica and also after c-section for about 1 month daily one dose and thankfully she had no postpartum side effects. She had some gas trouble, but that cured completely ith Raphnus sativus 30 few doses.

I also use Kali Carb at 3rd month for lower back pain which worked great only three dose helped her a lot.

I believe each situation during labor is different, and individualisation is required by a competent homeopath based on symptoms.

Murthy

dr.murthy ,i understand each labor is different and requires individualisation.
i have used homeopathy always since childhood and have great trust in homeopathic medicines, morever i have been reading lot of experiences of labors made easy with the help of homeopathy.
thats why i thought of taking a little assistance of homeopathy :)
but ofcourse each individual is different as you said.

thanks for your input.

Hi gudia

Why i suggested puls. as an option on due date is because beyond that we have a symptom called delayed labour. Whether a person belongs to puls. constitution or not, it helps in delayed labour or for smooth delivery.

You have asked about caulophyllum, i'm aware of the fact that many homeopaths recommend it as a routine and i have done at times too. But in your case i do not feel that you must take caulophyllum now or even close to due date without marked symptoms towards that remedy.

You have a great resource in this forum. As and when you develop your symptoms you can always report here and get a remedy suggestion.

Best wishes and prayers for your safe and easy delivery!

maheeru last decade
thanks a lot dr.maheeru
I need those wishes and prayers :)
i also have great trust in my body which i think is quite important too !

thanks again and best wishes!

gudiyachettu last decade
Yes confidence, relaxed mind are good. You have my wishes and prayers.

FYI, k. phos. the tissue salt already you're taking is also useful for delayed labour.

maheeru last decade
Thank you dr.maheeru , good to know about k.phos.
Since yesterday I have this lower back pain, more like cramping and I also have this pain/pressure on my thighs and legs.
Should I take any medicine for this or is it an indication that labor is near?
Thanks a lot for your reply.

gudiyachettu last decade
Hi gudiya

Having lower back pain is normal in last leg of pregnancy. Other pains could be labour or false pains.

what's the status now? what's your doctor's opinion?

Continue tissue salts--m. phos and k. phos. ....will help.

maheeru last decade
my dr said that the baby is in the right position, head down and that everything looks okay for now.
she also said that i will be induced if i go over a week overdue which im not at all thrilled about !
i hope she comes out on time :)
also i have this feverish feeling which started yesterday for which i took a dose of bryonia200 and im waiting for it to go away.(im worried about getting a fever at this stage)

once again thanx for all the advices, its of immense help.

gudiyachettu last decade
Ok status is fine.

But why did you take bry. now? what were the symptoms? what was the cause?

A few days back, i had suggested gelsmium? was it taken? if yes what was the response?

Have caulo, cimicifuga, puls., secale in 200c handy.

maheeru last decade
i took bryonia for fever and it has subsided now.
i didnt take gelsmium, because i couldnt find it locally and ordering it online might take more than a few days.
Thanks again.
