Possible Clash of Remedies?

Hello I've just registered here,

I'm 64 years old with an almost total avulsion to the ulna and radial nerves in my right arm. Recently I've been getting a bit stiff in the joints, so I've purchase Silicea 30, Rhus Tox 30, and Bryonia 30. (taking one a day of each)

I already take B1 and Saw Palmetto.

One of the first named 3 is making my eyes very red. I thought at first this may pass - but it persists I'm afraid?

Perhaps I shouldn't take them together?

Any observations very welcome thank you ...

You are probably developing a side effect from one of the medicines. There is no telling which one, it is best that you stop all of them. This is always the problem with using multiple remedies, there is no way to tell which one is doing what. The longer you continue them, the more likely you will develop more new symptoms, and occasionally those new symptoms will stay until cured by a correctly prescribed medicine.

Thank you for your reply

I have done just that, and my eyes have now cleared.

I propose to try each one at a time, with say 3 days in between dosages, to see if they effect me individually?

Thank you

Did you notice any improvement while taking the mixture?

Is the part worse for movement and better for keeping it still, or is it the opposite, better for movement and worse after being still for a time?

Rhus-tox is stiff, tight, better for movement although the first movement is often painful or stiff. Rhus-tox is always better for limbering or warming up, so continued movement makes the complaint better.

Bryonia is more or less the opposite. The part is worse for the slightest movement, and always better for keeping it very still. Any kind of disturbance to the part will aggravate it, and often provokes an angry response.

Thanks for the information,

I didn't notice any improvement in the few days I took the Rhus Tox, or Bryonia.

The pain often eases with movement, but is always worse as the winter sets on?

I did however notice my joints stiffened.

My appreciation for your input,

Martin

Generally in homeopathy we use only one remedy at a time.
