Bringing remedy through US customs
Hi guys!I'm traveling from Australia (home) to California in a couple of weeks and right now, I am still on a remedy and will need to continue this treatment into that period of holiday.
I'm not too sure how US customs takes to homeopathic remedies. Especially since mine is bottled liquid from a Homeopath.
Could anyone advise me as to what i should do? ...or has anyone else gone through something similar?
Thanks! :)
Health to you all!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
just make sure that you are checking the bags the homeopathy remedies are in.
If you put the remedies in the bag(s) and carry it on the plane, you will have to throw it away.
So, make sure to check it!
It also won't be a bad idea to rap the remedies in something soft(cloth) then put it in a plastic bag that zips.
along with your lipstick, lotions, toothpaste, shampoos/conditioners over the travel pack sizes.

For others, you are checking the bags only. Because you have the remedies in the liquid form.
in the pill form, you do not need to check the bags where the remedies are in.
I have carried my remedies in my purse and have no problem. (in the pill form)

Also its safe and better to keep the doctor's prescription with you just in case.
And as the above poster said checking in the bags with the medicines is always better.
Be sure that they are well packed in order to avoid any spill outs.
good luck!

Hi!
Thanks for your help guys! :)
I wasn't thinking of bringing it on board really. Was really going to just check it in with the rest of the suitcases.
I was actually more worried that US Customs would think that my remedy isn't allowed into the country (since it is not an orthodox medicine).
Thanks a lot for your advice anyways, both of you! :)
Great health to you!

There is nothing in the bottle that will be a problem for them - since remedies are non-material nothing will show up if they look for it. I have patients who travel to all sorts of countries and they have never had a problem. The only thing customs might have an issue with is the fact that it is a liquid or that it has alcohol in it.
Btw what part of Australia are you in?

Re: the Alcohol contents:
several times, I have traveled with my nail polish remover in my bags but checked it as well. along with my clothes, and couple bottles of nail polish as well. (and another bag with all of my homeopathic remedies and no problems.)
As long as you are bringing in enough remedies, just for your personal use. I should hope no alarms will go off.
I hope U.S. Customs are a reasonable and understanding people, regarding the homeopathic remedies.
and hey, you never know...maybe, the customs may take homeopathic remedies themselves. It is very much known in the west cost and very liberal.

Thanks a lot for the info guys! Exactly what i needed to know! :)
I've contacted my Homeopath for the list of ingredients and description of use, just in case!
Thanks for sharing your experiences dragonfly :) good to know our remedies are safe.
BrisbaneHomeopath, I'm from Melbourne! Awesome to see a homeopath from Australia in here as homeopathy doesn't seem to be a known thing here :(
