Filaria
My grandmother around 70 yrs old. She has been suffering from Filaria from last some months. Her legs get swelled and in her one arm also have some swelling. Doctor have told that it's filaria. Please suggest some remedy. And if u want to know the symptoms Please do tell what information should be provided. Looking to hear from you.mail_nafees on 2010-10-16

Does having this medicine causes frequent urination to the consumer. If so then pl. suggest some other medicine as my granny already have problem of frequent urination and this may lead to some other prob. also.

sometimes with this medicine swellings and fever will come down while urine output can increase for a short while which is a good sign.
Any ways you would be better off to give more symptoms.
1) what is the problem? Describe the location, duration, causation of this problem.
2) What are the sensations the patient is experiencing? Describe in detail
3) What are the factors that cause the problem to worsen or improve? E.g time, temp., climate, weather, food items, applications, movement, rest, emotional changes if any.
4) Talk about appetite, thirst, likes/dislikes, sleep, sweating, bowel movement, energy in general?
5) Talk about tongue colour, any emotional changes after this problem, chills or any peculiar or any miscellaneous things associated with this problem.

1) On right side of the body from back side of ear to the shoulder and a swelling on the upper side of right hand below the shoulder bone. There is also pain on the body from diaphragm to the lower ankle. Basically she says that there is pain in the veins, & not the muscle pain. Pain also happens on the back of the knee over one bone of it.
On left side of body same pain in shoulder and hand. Left leg was fractured and was operated and there's rod attached in girdle bone. It might be that the pain remains in leg because of rod being attached. Same type pain happens in the left leg. While one peculiar thing she said about the left leg that she has a feeling of a gland or some vein being overgrown or something, on right surface of left leg above knee. At present she says that it is about 15-20 cms above knee on right side of left leg.
While swelling is more on left side than right side of body.
2) When the pain increases she feels uncomfortable while no other part/s of body gets swelled or changes it's shape or structure or getting red nor even the effected parts.
3) When the moon appears after getting fully shadowed pain increases in those weeks. She doesn't take most sour products like curd. No milk or fruits. She sometime take apple which is to be steamed. She always remains in house and doesn't goes out much so i can't say whether the pain will increase with much walking or not.
4) Mostly we take potato in our diet and she takes seasonal green vegetables. Feeling of thirst is not much. She sweats a lot with little hotness ,while feels a lot cold with little decrease in temperature. No problem in sleep. Takes a sound sleep. She always had constipation problem and after taking spicy & sour products the stomach pains and the stool is not normal.
5) The color of the tongue is light red. Since this problem she had become more weak. No other change is seen.

She shall take silicea 30c in water. First prepare the solution by letting three pills or drops dissolve in 250ml water bottle, and from this bottle 3 drops is a single dose. Except for the first dose, she must shake the bottle vigorously up and down for 5 times just before every dose.
She shall take two doses daily for a week. If she notices any discomfort/aggravation in between, she should stop the dose. Report here then.
