Any hope for curing Tourettes Syndrome?

Hi. New to the forum and new to homeopathy. Does anyone here have any experience curing Tourettes Syndrome? I am 34 years old and have been suffering from this condition since age 12. I have gone the allopathic route, and can confidently say it has nothing to offer. Since there is no known cause or cure for Tourettes, there doesn't seem to be anyone who can help. I am hoping homeopathy can offer a solution.
Thank you in advance.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
This is one of my cases:

This is another homoeopath's case:

I have seen reported cures scattered through homoeopathic literature for the last 2 centuries.

Thank you for posting those 2 case studies. How would I go about figuring out what I should take? Should I just try what worked for those 2 cases to see if they work for me?

That is not really how homoeopathy works. A remedy must be selected on an individual basis, and it can only be done by someone who has training in homoeopathic prescribing. There are thousands of medicines all with their own 'pictures' and uses. Homoeopathy is not particularly effective in a 'this remedy for that disease' way except in particular situations. You need to understand what is peculiar in a case, especially what differentiates that patient from every other patient with the same disease.

Homoeopathy is very precise, and this makes it very effective for curing things that orthodox medicine cannot. The downside is that it takes quite a lot of work to get good enough at it to make a difference for patients.

My purpose in presenting a couple of cases is not to tell you what might cure you, only that there the possibility of cure probably does exist by going down the homoeopathic path.

Hi. Since I asked this question 2 years ago, my son, who is now 4, also started to display signs of TS....especially around times of illness. So, about 5 months ago, I took him to see a classical homeopathic doctor who has been working with him on an ongoing basis to find his 'constitutional' remedy. We have gone through a few different remedies, each affecting him a little, but not sure if we have hit on the right one yet. At this time, he is not showing any signs of TS, and he just got over being sick, so I am taking that as a good sign that progress is happening. Since I started seeing results in my son, I also have been getting treated and am on my 'constitutional' remedy. Do I still have TS? Yes. But i have experienced other physical and mental level healings and am told that my healing will take longer since I've had the condition way longer than my 4 year old. (I am now 36) My homeopath told me that if you can heal the vital force, then the pathology at the mental and physical level will heal. I think it's called Hering's Law....where the healing takes place from the inside out. (Don't quote me on that one) I have faith that if I stick with this, my son could be spared, and I would urge you to get homeopathic treatment from a classicly trained homeopathic doctor for your daughter as soon as possible. She is only 6, so her healing could be more rapid than say you or I. I think your best bet is to have your daughter treated constitutionally. Good luck to you and God bless. PM me if you have any more questions, I would love to keep in touch.

aprilm,
A non-homeopathic question...have you looked into magnesium deficiency at all?

sujisuji last decade
Yes I have read that mag deficiency is frequently found in people with TS, but I have never looked into it for myself or my son. Thanks for bringing it up.

aprilm,
Magnesium deficiency is often linked to thyroid issues as well, so perhaps a blood test to determine thyroid values and magnesium values might help. If you decide magnesium might help, I think magnesium orotate is the most absorbable form of magnesium.

Thanks a lot aprilm and sujisuji for the useful input about TS. After sujisuji told about magnesium levels, i went through my daughter's blood test reports taken in march 2012, and i noticed that:

copper level is less than the normal range in my daughter. Is that anyway related with the cause of TS?

T4 Total and TSH 3rd Generation levels are within the normal range. Can it anyway tell us that magnesium levels also might be normal?

Thanks a lot in advance for any further input.
