Chicken-pox

Although this malady may present a very constant symptom picture, yet from the point of view of homoeopathic treatment the constitutional or temperamental aspects of the case must also be taken into account. On occasion chicken-pox may be mistaken for small-pox, or vice versa. This might be disastrous and expert knowledge is required to avoid such an error of judgment.
An undoubted case of chicken-pox can be helped by such remedies as the following (a few doses of 30, or 6 for more prolonged ad¬ministration, two or three times daily):
ANTIMONIUM CRUDUM child peevish, cries if looked at, touched or washed.
ANTIMONIUM TARTARICUM pustules are very large; child peevish and whining, wants company.
PULSATILLA child mild and tearful, and not thirsty.
RHUS TOXICODENDRON great restlessness of mind and body.
SULPHUR (two or three doses) hungry but eats little, extremely thirsty.
If desired, contacts may be given RHUS TOX. 30 three doses during a 24 hour period, by way of prevention.
