clarify doubt for caulophyllum ...urgent

dear doctor/s

i just need some clarification regarding my doubt.
my wife is pregnant since two months. her first pregnancy resulted in miscarriage during

third month of pregnancy 6 months ago. although she is alright now and is on allopathic

medications. Her gynae says she's alright and had done a scanning too for the same purpose.

After reading throgh a materia medica, i came to know about 'caulophyllum' that its

recommended during pregnancy to avoid miscarriage.(I didn't go through it thoroghly). After

reading this i gave my wife caulophyllum 30 in globules (4-5 globules 4 times in a day) for

one month(though irregularly).( probably in 2nd month).
But after going through abc forums and thorogh reading of caulophyllum, i came to know that

caulophyllum is recommended during the last month(i.e. 9th month)and that too every 4th day,

and its function is to strengthen the muscles of uterus, induce labour and easy delivery.

I am now in a worried situation. please tell me if it is a matter of worry or not.

waiting for the expert opinion from abc panel.

thanks

There are actually many remedies for women who have a tendency to miscarriage. The main ones are:

Caulophylm
Ferrum metallicum
Kali carb
Plubum metallicum
Sepia
Viburnum

There are around 60 in all, and others could be used depending on the specific problem.

What brought you to Caul specifically over the other remedies? What is the specific problem your wife has? Without knowing these things it is very hard to give you advice.

Caulophyllum is mostly useful for those women who suffer miscarriages from UTERINE DEBILITY (WEAKNESS). They have an exhausted system, and the reason they lose their babies is due to atony of the uterus (lack of tone). In a manner of speaking, the Caulophyllum woman cannot hold on to her child. Even false labor pains can cause the miscarriage, because of this lack of strength or grip.

thanks for your kind response.
but i just want to ask you one thing....
Is this a matter of worry, that i have given her 'caulophyllum 30' in second month. Now she had stopped that. Will this cause any harm in future. I have learned that homeopathic medicines are safe to use.

please reply

If you continued to give it to her, it might create the problem that it is used to cure - in other words make her uterus too weak to hold on to the baby.

If no problem has occurred to date, it probably has not done anything.

i am bit worried with your reply.

i gave her just two mini plastic phials (half the size of finger) and globules of 30 size.
Dose was 4-5 globules 3-4 times in a day. Although she took the medicine irregularly. i.e.

Often missed the doses. And now has stopped that.
Its now her 3rd month in progress and she is alright according to her gynae. She's on a allopathic treatment.

please reply

There is always a risk when taking homoeopathic medicines, especially if they are not chosen specifically for the patient's individual problem. It does not appear that there is a problem though, since you have stated that the gynacologist has cleared her. It could be that she was insensitive to that remedy.

I would not give her any more remedies without first checking with a professional.

dear brisbanehomeopath

thanks a lot for your promt response and clarification regarding caulophyllum.
In future i will be cautious.

i am now prompted to ask you two more questions if you please....
1. if one takes wrong medicine (say any homeopathic, then how to negate its effect with other homeopathic medicine. I mean to say can we antidote the effect of that medicine like in my case. Should one be cautious to antidote the effect, if one is already on other medicines like allopathic ones.

2. as per your last response, can a person be totally insensitive to a medicine which is perfectlly right for him/her and also in right doe and potency.

please clarify and oblige

1. If a medicine creates a problem for a person then a well selected homoeopathic medicine (not the same one of course) can usually fix it.

Orthodox medication can indeed antidote homoeopathic treatment, but only if it is specifically suppressing the symptoms we are trying to treat OR the medicine is very powerful like chemotherapy or general anesthetic.

2. A person is only insensitive to a medicine that is completely wrong for him. Our sensitivity to a medicine is what makes it correct. If a person were insensitive to a remedy it could not heal him as it cannot affect him.

It is important to understand how homoeopathy works, so that you understand the risk you took in treating your wife.

A remedy cures by creating an artificial disease in the patient. If the patient already has a similar disease, it cures it (like cures like). If the patient does not have a similar disease, it is possible to add the new disease to the old one, or replace the old disease with the new one. Usually this is only a temporary replacement, but depending on the remedy it can have serious consequences for the patient.

You don't want to give a remedy like Caulophyllum to a woman who is pregnant if she does not need it, because it could temporarily weaken her uterus, and actually cause a miscarriage.

If a woman actually has a weak uterus, the Caulophyllum would instead strengthen it.

Hi hs2010

Stop worrying. Though what you did is not correct, rest assured as nothing untoward has happened as confirmed by your doctor.

There won't be any future problems because of what you gave so far.

Always take the advice of an experienced homeopathic doctor ,hereafter.
