The ABC Homeopathy Forum

We need few great, noble souls; do you...

Dear Doctors, visitors, patients, all of the person who related with this forum,

I write this Post only for help a person named Sraboni. She was diagnosed with Alpastic Anemia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aplastic_anemia ), a rare medical condition where the bone marrow cannot produce sufficient blood cells. Let’s see what her husband says about her condition in his own word.

I am Dhruba (MBA from Dhaka University, B. Sc in CSE from Khulna University, Ex. Notre Damian),and currently working as System Engineer at Huawei Technologies Ltd. at Dhaka. I got married with Sraboni Samadder (BSc in Home Economics, Dhaka University) just eight months ago and spent for marriage whatever I could save during last couple of years. However, we have been very happy until we have faced the biggest shock in our life.

Just after five months we got married, one day we realized that my wife got whitish and felt very weak. We went to see Prof. HAM Nazmul Ahasan, Head, Dept of Medicine, DMCH who suggest to do some blood counts. The lab results showed very low blood counts for all of three ingredients (i.e., Hemoglobin, Platelet and WBC). The doctor suggested to admit in hospital immediately, do blood transfusion and to do bone marrow examination. Literally saying, we had no idea what was waiting for us until we got back the test results. My wife was diagnosed with Alpastic Anemia

A rare medical condition where the bone marrow cannot produce sufficient blood cells. Since there is no scope of treatment for this in Bangladesh, we were referred to CMC hospital, Vellore, India where we saw Dr. Alok Srivastava, Prof and Head, Clinical Haematogy in September, 2010. We came to know that the only possible treatment for this is to do Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) which would cost 35-40 lakhs BD TK (almost $ 58,500/=) in Vellore, India. This is the cheapest place to do BMT, it costs around 1.5 crore ($ 2,18,980/=) in Singapore.

Now, the economical condition of my family is terrible, so is of my father-in-law. I am the only son of my father who was a high-school teacher and died two years ago. I am barely managing from friends the amount (40K TK per month) needed for medication right now. I have already spent more than 3 lakhs, sold all we had (e.g., gold ornaments), and the amount required for BMT is way beyond my capacity. Under such a situation, seeking help from you guys is the only way I can hold my hope to save my wife. Please come forward and help me in this critical situation.
