This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Yes. Sometimes 15 is too much and you might decrease to 10 or 5. However, the dose could be too high, and you might need a lower potency also or instead.

You cannot take those succussions back without making a new bottle of liquid, using a new pillule. The potency of the remedy has already been increased to its original level +10 sucussions. Going 'down' to 5 succussions with the same bottle would actually be going 'up' to 15.

I only use 2 succussions to avoid creating too much aggravation in sensitive patients. People who are not so sensitive may need more. Very sensitive people may need several aspects of dosing adjusted to make the remedies easier for them to bear. They may even need to avoid the mouth as the point of entry - instead dabbing the remedy on the wrist, inner crook of the arm, or even just smelling the remedy from the bottle.

Increasing sucussions increases the strength of the medicine - this cannot reverse the same medicine while it is working, only increase it's effect.

There are many reasons why people feel worse after a remedy - a true aggravation is the current symptoms worsening, or old symptoms reappearing, and in most cases is followed by improvement.

However sensitive people, hysterical people, people with a lot of tissue changes in the body, may all aggravate on many remedies, and they will not get improvement afterwards.

It might be, it might not be, it might mean nothing in regards to the suitability of the remedy.

The main guidelines for determining if a remedy is curative, is Direction of Cure, and Hierarchy of Symptoms.

Direction of Cure states symptoms move from more important organs/locations to less important, move from inside out, move from the top to the bottom.

I have to go out for awhile, i will finish this later

Hierarchy of Symptoms helps us to determine if the direction is in fact correct, by estabilishing an order of importance in the parts of a person.

It not only establishes an order in terms of Mentals, Emotionals, Generals, Locals, but also an order within those catagories. George Vithoulkas has written extensively on this hierarchy in his book the Science of Homoeopathy.

So complete mental confusion is more important than paranoid ideas in the mentals, and both of these are more imporant than forgetfulness. Suicidal feelings are more important than phobias in the emotions. Brain ailments are more important than Lung ailments in the body, which are both more important than Skin.

I would say yes - that would be a good sign. So I suppose within a particular person's deppression, if they stopped feeling suicidal but the depression had not vanished completely, I would be encouraged to continue using the remedy.

You have to look at all things though to be sure. Cure often moves through a person, you need to look at where it is leaving, and where it is going. It is tricky for awhile.
