Dog Kidney Failure

I have read that Serum anguillae (Eel serum)is recommended for kidney failure. Does anyone have any knowledge of this. My dog is in the advanced stage of it. Will this help? If so, what dosage?

Please, anyone?

What do you feed your dog?

Homeopathic Care for Dogs and Cats, Don Hamilton,DVM says the following:

Acute kidney failure

-Apis-Swelling anywhere and these animals are not thirsty, but they are hot and seek cool spots.

-Eucalyptus-Kidney inflammation accompanies an infection elsewhere in the body. Mucus or pus in the urine.

-Nitri Spiritus Dulcis-Kidney failure after any disease that produces a fever.

-Picric Acid-Kidneys have stopped producing urine. Animal is weak and easily exhausted, if they move much it will be as if their legs are extremely heavy.

-Serum Anguille (eel serum) If you can obtain this remedy quickly, I suggest it as the first choice as eel serum has a specific effect upon the kidneys, causing acute shutdown. The homeopathic remedy thus may reverse acute kidney disease and has been used succesfully in many human cases. Unlike Apis, with this remedy an indicator is there is no visible swellling in the body.

Chronic Kidney Failure

Arsenicum Album-Thirst and chilliness are key indicators. Restlessness, worse after midnight, they hang their heads over the waterbowls w/o drinking, thirsty, but drinking may create nausea, same with eating. They act hungry but eat little. Chilly animals who like warmth, like heaters, heat vents, under the covers, etc.

China-Great loss of bodily fluids.

Chininum Arsenicosum-Picture resembles Arsenicum but patient does not respond to Arsenicum.

Chininum Muriaticum-If Natrum Mur seems correct but provides no benefit consider this remedy.

Chininum Sulphuricum-If Sulphur is indicated but does not work, consider this remedy.

Mercurius-Mouth inflammation accompanies other symptoms, ulcers on the gums, animal is irritable and may wish to be left alone.

Natrum Mur-Thirsty animals, warm, avoid the sun, loners, want to be left alone, rather than being pet, love or hate salt.

Sulphur-Animal is sluggish and unkempt, avoids cold areas, but tends to be warm, but not as chilly as Arsenicum, thirsty, poor appetites, friendly, relaxed, easygoing.

From Natural Health for Dogs and Cats by Richard Pitcairn DVM

Nux Vomica-Toxicity, uremia, nausea, vomiting, feeling ill.

Sepia-Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, primarily stomach probs.

Pulsatilla-No sign of thirst and prefers cool surfaces to lie on.

I have not used nor heard of what dosage on the eel serum.

Read through these remedies and if any of them ring any bells, I will give you more detail so you can find the right remedy for your dog. Where there is life, there is hope.

I have used Ars. Alb.(200 potency, plussed) for my dog who was had kidney failure - response was good. Of course what choice of remedy you make, depends on your dog's symptoms and personality, so please read Namaste's mail carefully, look up the remedies, and choose the one that is the best fit.

Thanks for the replies. I have tried some other remedies such as Nux Vomica and it helped to some degree. I recently read about the Ell serum being of help, but I think that is only if it is early on. I would like to know more about this remedy.

By the way, she is on Hill's perscription diet food of the morning and Dr. Pitcairn's kidney diet recipe of the evening.

My dog is in renal failure. Will homeopathy reverse the failure, or help keep a decent quality of life?
He is only 18 months old.
BUN 114, creatnine 13.4, phosphorus 16.1; normal levels Ca, K, and Na.
His behaviour is amazing, still goes on walks (short) and affectionate. Very very tired. Vomits sporadically, only 1x blood.
Western meds:
He's on carafate for ulcers, enalopril for heart/kidney, aluminum hydroxide to absorb toxic amounts of phosphorus, pepcid before meals, and now, the dreaded prednisone in case this is autoimmune. Subcutaneous IV saline 1 Liter/day; Omega 3 fish oil caps. (Negative for lepto, erlichosis, Lyme, heart worm). None of the veterinary homeopaths in my area will return my calls, or are booked for weeks. What can I do? Are the western meds making him worse, more toxic? What can I do, Im ready to try everything suggested by poor Kiranna 4.23.2005. Did her dog survive?
Please help....

The question has been asked by 2 members about Serum Anguillae for Kidney failure and it has helped some patients who were on Dialysis to extend their time between Dialysis which has proved that this remedy has worked.

The potency to be used is the 6c and the remedy must be taken in the Wet dose thrice daily for a week and twice thereafter.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

Sir I have a ten year old Labrador.he's not eating from last twelve to thirteen days.yesterday I had his blood test and found that he has been suffering from a kidney failure.
Bun- 540
Creatinine- 26.8
Bilirubin- .24
Sir,he's not been eating from last 12-13 days.he has lost his 30 to 40% weight.now when I make him eats,he just vomits it all.
He stays near water for long time and drinks water very very slowly, after drinking water he vomits again, he vomits about 10 to 14 Times. For vomiting sometimes he goes to a corner, digs a hole, and vomits in it.

He has issues with his urine, whenever he tries to urinate the urine doesn't come in flow but it doesn't bleed either.
Whenever I take his urine in my hand it is very itchy. His breath smells very foul like a constipated patient.
Should I used
ell-serum
And are.alb
