This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Ferr Phos 6x is very effective to prevent colds.

I have never prescribed it for infants before but you can experiment by giving your son 1 tablet dissolved in water or milk 3 times daily.

Report his progress in a week.

If this continues in the future, you are advised to consult your Pediatrician at least to get a diagnosis of your baby's problem.

I might be able to suggest a remedy for your son if you wish.

It could also be worth your while to have a look at the following articles on the way homoeopathy works and the kind of information that homoeopaths need to make
sucessful prescriptions.

Could you please answer a few more questions in order to do this. Homoeopathic prescriptions are highly dependent on details and precision of information.

What does the cough sound like?

When does the cough occur during the day?

What makes the cough worse?

What makes the cough better?

What does he cough up?

What does the mucous look like, smell like?

What is his behavior like when he gets sick?

What is his appetite and thirst like when he gets sick?

What is his sleep like?

What is he sensitive to apart from the dry cold weather?

When he is sick, what makes him feel better? What can you do to make him happier or more comfortable?

When he is sick, what makes him feel worse? What kind of things make him unhappy or uncomfortable?

What kind of illnesses run in the family - what do you have and what does his father have? Do you have any other children and do they have any illnesses?

What was the birth like?

What symptoms did you have during pregnancy? Did you develop anything that cleared up as soon as your son was born?

No illness.
This is my second child. The first was my baby girl who passed away at age of 1 year.
her history:
She had 3 recurrent episodes of pneumoni at age of 5.5 months and after the third episode she was diagnosed with trachea malacia and zenkers diverticulum.I took up homeopathy to treat thes ailments and touchwood they all worked good within 4 months of the treatment the doctors removed her feeding tube and she was able to eat orallyu but her all the previous episodes had made her immune system very weak so at the age of 9 months she had a fever and then till she died she had constant fever every day only nimesulide could bring her fever down.Doctors at AIIMS did all the test but every test came out good ,so in the end they clinically declared her immune system is weak and at age of 1 year she passed away due to refractory sepsis.

Wat was the birth like?
Birth was normal vaginal delivery.

What symptoms did you have during pregnancy? Did you develop anything that cleared up as soon as your son was born?

p.s my daughter was also bilateral clubfeet of grade 3.

If you are using a medicine that appears to be working, I will withdraw from the case until you feel you need more help.

To Simkhan

Ferr Phos 6x seems to work by increasing the oxygenation of the blood and this seems to help the body to overcome respiratory infections especially those that are viral in origin.

You can continue to give him the Ferr Phos but in a reduced dosage by dividing the tablets into half and giving him half tablet thrice daily. It is absolutely safe to give it to him as it will hopefully increase his immunity.

I am glad that my 'Joepathy' helped again and I do doubt that you will need any further classically generated remedies in the future.

You stated:
'His appetite is good and about thirst I do not give him water because he is only 6 months now. '

I do not understand the reason why you do not give him water to suck off his feed bottle as I have noticed that after 5 months the baby craves for water presumably because the liquid that it gets from mother's milk is insufficient. I would recommend that you give him all the water he needs as liquids seem to be needed by the baby's body for growth.

I presume that your son is on solids today to supplement his feeds of milk.
