nasal polyps
I have had severe nasal polyps/chronic sinusitis for 3 years, am desperate to find some relief from tis horrible problem, it consumes my life 24/7. Tried surgery, they cam right back, steroid sprays, antihistamines,decongestants, allergy shots don't help. Did develop allergies to cats/? dogs, have both ( will never give up0. I went to a homeopathic practitioner, she had me take 5 doses of nosode medorrhinum 200 in a week, got much worse from that, still have not recovered from that. I am desperately looking for a remedy that can bring me some relief, I do seevery sensitive to any med, including homeopathy.

Hi Neil,
I am so much more nasally blocked, much of the time am not able to breathe at all thru my nose since taking that remedy. I use to be able to do daily nasal rinses and now am too blocked to do. Strangely, I seem to have gained a few pounds and am more depressed than usual. I did try to take a few doses of calcera with no help and now have taken 2 doses of kali bich 6x. Should I not take anything other remedy till we antidote the Medorrhinum? Really appreciate any help you can offer.

Hi
You may either either liquid or pills. You can ask for a 10ml / 1 dram bottle.
To make wet doses of Homeopathic remedies, please dissolve 2 pills/drops of the remedy in 100 ml of spring water. One teaspoon from the solution is one dose.

I'm sorry to bother you again, but I feel alittle apprehensive about taking the 200 potency, since I had such a negative response to the other 200 potency remedy prescribed by the homeopath, which I'm trying to recover from. Do you think it would be worthwhile to try 30c/x first, also I would be able to get that potency today at the local store?

Please go ahead with 30c in case you have such apprehension. And make sure that you take wet doses as described and not dry pills.

I did take the nux vomica 30c as you prescribed,unfortunately
it did not seem to help at all and possibly make me feel worse. It did seem to break up some of the congestion, but the polyps are probably so large that they blocked the drainage ability. I think I just need a remedy to shrink the polyps at this point rather than worrying about an antidote. I'm thinking about ordering teucrium, not sure if I should order it in 6x/c or 30, don't want to take a stronger potency to start with till I know how it will affect me. What is your opinion on this?

Well my opinion that it might be better to have a case taken with a bit more care and with more attention to the whole case rather than just part. It appears you might be sensitive to remedies and you might just continue getting side effects if the wrong remedies are used.

Sad to know the reaction to the remedy. Like David said, you indeed seem to be sensitive to drugs. In such a case, I would recommend you place yourself in the hands of a practitioner who can do regular follow-ups.
As regards your question on Teuricum, it is one of the many remedies indicated for Nasal Polyps. The other important ones being:
- Calcarea
- Allium cepa
- Phos.
- Sang
- Ars iod
- Thuj.
- Cadm-s.
- Calc-i.
- Calc-p.
- Caust.
- Con.
Your remedy will be decided by the modalities, which means what time of the day it is better or worse, is there anything which will make it improve or aggravate. In addition, you will have to identify if there are any other associated / concomitant symptoms.
The analysis and prescription may take some time because of the obvious limitations of this medium.
Hence, I would strongly suggest to get rid of this first by visting a physician in practice. After that, you can come back here to treat the problem constitutionally so that there is no recurrence in the future.
For now, if you don't find any good homeopath, go to an ENT and take his antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. What is important right now is to get over this episode.

If you get periodic headaches that center around the right side of fore head and in the right eye...then the med for you is Kali Bich. 30c.
Additional indications...there is yellow coating on the tongue every morning..maybe yellow coating on the teeth too.

Further more, it is the right med if you have droppings of phlegm from back part of the nose into the throat..which is to be spitted out.

Thanks for all your comments and offers of help, I will keep them in mind. I did seek out a homeopathic practitioner, as stated in my original post. I spent hours in a very intense interview with her and then weeks before she had a remedy for me, unfortunately, the remedy had a very negative effect on me, for which I am still trying to reverse. I do not have a trust level in finding another one in this vicinity. My ENT doctor only has toxic drugs and worthless surgery to offer, but if I can't get this better in time, I will take a short prednisone taper and then steroid spray till I can find something better, but that will be my last resort. I am taking a few doses of kali bi 6c that I have, it might be helping slightly. I did go ahead and ordered teucrium, that sounds like it fits my symptoms most accurately. I also ordered Job's Tears ( Chinese pearled barley), that I read some have had luck with it shrinking their polyps, so it's worth a try. I will keep you posted if something works. I ordered the pellets, is it better to take it in the wet form or just put it under your tongue, what is the difference with those 2 modes of delivery? Do appreciate any feedback, than ks.

Taking in wet form (pills/ drops dissolved in water) significantly reduces any chances of aggravation.

hollybell, there is not much to worry. I have had so many problems and aggravations due to medicines.
As such 200 potency does not aggravate severely and when it does, immediate relief follows but still as others say you may be sensitive.

If you read Boericke's Materia Medica...under stomach..subheading...it says...vomiting of liquid containing yellow bile.
Before vomiting begins...the yellow matter collects on the deepest part of the tongue and covers the teeth too. A kali bich. patient ...you ill see has a yellow film on the teeth.
There is yellowness in the skin as well .

Indeed, this is not an office, not a clinic, and certainly not a classroom.
The patients in pain and suffering coming here for timely help. But, some experts give them lectures, force them to read and learn homoeopathy, bombard them with questions, torture them more even if the patient is a child of let's say ony 11 months old?
The patients are least interested in becoming a professional homoeopath. All they want is a remedy to help them going with their daily lives. Homoeopathy internals must be transparent to patients.
Well, what I know? Sorry Punkaj and Niel, you are great guys and I honestly feel your purpose is to deliver help on time! Please keep up the good work!
But, I am really amazed sometimes by other so called experts due to their lack of knowledge, ignorance, lack of PR, pride, lack of skill and experience, lack on vision and lack of professionalism.

I believe it is always fraught with risk to tackle extreme aggravations on these forums unless one knows the patient well and has been handling his case for long.
