4months old baby with acis reflux will not lay down, sit or bend

My baby girl is diagnosed with acid reflux at the age of 6weeks. She takes a PPI but still is in great discomfort.
She cries and clearly is in pain when she lays down (even inclined, sits or bends over. She never spits up but you can hear her milk going up and down. She's very restless and hardly sleeps. She's best held up right in a sling or at night her tummy to mine when I'm sitting in a chair.
I'm breastfeeding and she's wants to drink a lot, is fussy while nursing and lets go a lot, wants to drink herself to sleep and is worse 2hrs after feedings. She keeps burping and reurgitate 5hrs after feedings!
Sometimes it seems like she has colics, because the pain comes up so sharp. When this does, she arches her neck backwards.

I allready tried giving her Borax 200K (prescriped by a Doctor). This seemed to be helping for to nights because she could sleep in her bed for several hours. But didn't make a difference during the day. The third night it was worse so on day for I repeated with Borax MK. The first part of the niht she now sleeps on her tummy inclined and after a lot of screeming. When she wakes up I feed her and then she wakes up every hour (while holding her up right)turning her head, arching backwards, ...
I constantly keep her in a sling during the day, even then she makes short naps.

She's also teething since a few days (biting everything and seems frustrated) so I yesterday I started giving her Chamomilla D6.
Would this help the other symptoms also? Or in an other potency?

Would I repaet Borax or switch to Dioscorea or something else?

Thanks in advance.

I have just read your Baby's problem with GERD and am alarmed that you have already given her some PPI drug which you are advised to discontinue it immediately.

I have pioneered in the use of Nat Phos 6x which is a Biochemic Cell Salt which is absolutely safe in use and works in a different manner by accelerating the passage of food from the stomach into the gut thereby preventing the build up of acid which is the reason for the symptoms that your baby presents and is also an excellent antidote for Lactose Intolerance which your baby suffers from.

You can take 2 tablets of Nat Phos thrice daily yourself and you should find that your baby will not show any GERD symptoms as it will be passed on to her in your milk. You will notice her response immediately after her feed. You will hopefully also notice in a few days that she will not need any medication at all, as the Nat Phos helps her body to readjust itself, like rebooting your computer.

Please report her response tomorrow.

Thanks for your advice! The PPI (Nexium) was prescribed by our pediatrician and believe me it's not a pleasant thought giving this meds to her...

I will try the Nat Phos. I will have to buy them here in Belgium. What is the exact full name of the product please?

I report as soon as I've tried it.

Nat Phos is also referred to as:

Natrium Phosphericum Biochemic Cell Salt.

You must get the 6x potency and they are marketed in any Homeopathic pharmacy.

I've tried the NP6x since yesterday, but cannot notice any difference. I gave it to her dissolved in a teaspoon of water, because I wasn't sure it could pass through breastmilk.

Should I continue and be patient?

Or try something else along with it?

Since a couple of weeks she gets vegetables once a day also. After this meal symptoms remain, so I'm not sure there is an intollerance for lactose as you suggested?

The dose I gave her was one tablet 3times a day.

The NP should be given immediately after a meal but I would hesitate to give solids like vegetables at 4 months as her digestive system is not able to digest the cellulose and fiber in the vegetables

Suggest you stop the vegetables and her problem should clear up.

Thanks for your advice.
I've been doing what you suggested, but still no difference...
It doesn't seem to help for her?

Are there other remedies I could try?

Can anyone else with experience in Pediatrics please take this case ?

Colocynth 30c should help with her pain. Use it only during the pain.

Calc Carb 6c, given twice daily will slowly reduce the acidity tendency. this is frequently indicated for childrens and successfully used.

Stop giving all vaccination, till she gets completely better. If you remember this started after vaccination, please write back.

If Calc Carb does not help, then it more of reverse peristalsis, for which Ignatia 30c, failing which Asafoetida 6c.

The last to to try is Magnesium Mur 6c, twice a day for a few weeks to fix all digestive trouble of infants.

Reva,

Thank you for your input.

Suggest you specify the dosage as the mother may not know how to proceed.

Sure Joe.

Calc Carb 6c, 1 pellet, in a 10ml of water and a few drops of this directly to the child. Repeat this twice a day or even after every feeding. If you could get Calc Carb 6x, please use, otherwise, Calc Carb 6c. For bottle fed kids, Calc Carb 6x, 1 grain tablet on each feeding making the kids very healthy, even for kids with no trouble. It is Calcium Supplement in a form that is readily taken by the body.

Giving Calc Carb should gradually help and should not need any medicine for pain. However if the pain is there, do not hesistate to give Colocynth 30 in the same way. It works really well for colic of the kids and helps to fix digestive troubles permanently.

Use only these two medicines for now and report back. I see vaccination being the cause and I will wait for mom to confirm whether she has given vaccination before the trouble started.

Thanks for your help!

The symptoms allready began the first day she was born!

She has been vaccinated but I cannot say this had a bad influence on the symptoms?

I was wondering if I could give Dioscorea instead of Colocynth. I have this at home and thought this was specific when the pain gets worse sitting or bending? And the opposit of Coloc?

She's arching back all the time and starts crying when we try her to sit, bend or lay down...
