whats in that tablet?

greetings

I have a pretty severe allergy to sulphites, and having reacted twice recently, am trying to track down what in my diet has caused it.

I have been taking a remedy of calendula 10m for an infection as prescribed by my homeopath. Can you tell me if there is any possibility that the tablet itself contains sulphite - possibly as a binding agent (sulphites are commonly used for this in conventional medicine)

thanking you in anticipation

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If you are taking Calendula 10M then one would normally take one [ or max 3] doses and wait a month .

If you have taken it more frequently , then it may be reacting with something.

Homeopathy IS NOTHING like conventional medicine. One is so different from The other they could be from different planets.

There are NO "binders" used.

The "white" tablets, pellets, and/or granules are made from "sugar of milk."

thanks for the information. the homeopathy suppliers said some tablets are bound with magnesium carbonate and lactose, so I started wondering if other ingredients were possible

I think I will call the local supplier and ask about this. This is totally against everything I have ever known about homeopathy and its manufacture.

I wouldn't buy from a supplier that told me this.

Magnesium Carb is actually a remedy. So, why would a supplier add this to other remedies, this does not compute.

As you can tell, I'm new to all this. I've been trying to find out information on the web but no luck. The tablet seems to be a different consistency from the little oval sugary pills. Thanks for following up, will be interested to know.

the only homeopathic pills/tablets etc. that I know are either from milk sugar (pure) - these are either flat, firm, compressed or larger, softer and not so compressed - or there are little balls of sucrose (pure). NO ADDITIVES except the actual remedy put onto these.
