Suggestions 12 /yo son

My son is 12, had deterioration in his health at the age of 5 after MMR/chicken pox vaccine. Lost skills, growth stopped for a year, slowly returned but still much smaller than peers. Awkward movements, upper body/lower body not work in unison but the same deficiencies are in the top half as bottom half-->weaker than peers, clumsy, slow relfexes, Has to overthink his movements to get his body to do what it is supposed to do.His muscles are not as spongy as his sisters, almost lack grit to them. His reflexes are slow, Much improved over the years, but still not solid. He is starting to get down about his lack of growth, especially now the friends are starting to sprout up and he is not,
He is exceptionally bright, top of his class grade wise, studies well, phenominal memory for school work and math.

Thank you for any help or suggestions

Any suggestions as to what I could give him based on his symptoms, I have filled out the questionaire based on my observations of him and what I see as his> The two homeopathic meds we tried, cal phos 200c and baryta carb 200C I saw almost overnight height growth within a week, like an inch he is much more taller appearing in the morning, and loses the inch by nightfall. It is 10 days since I used them. I havent noticed anything else positive or negative, except knees are sore, on and off.

Gender: male
Age: 12
Body Type: slim larger bone
Height: 148 cm
Weight: 75 lbs
General appearance: pale, blue eyes, medium brown hair, blonde as baby
Have you used homeopathic medicines before? yesIf so what, and what homeopathic potencies did you use?

GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION

It is important to describe all your problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.

1. What exactly happens?
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occuring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?

Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing.

As well as this, please describe any traumatic indicidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.

Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.

Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior.

Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow.

Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases.

If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:

1. The specific foods that you crave (not just like) or hate
2. The specific drinks that you crave or hate
3. What your sleep is like
4. How the weather and the temperature affects you
5. What kinds of things in the environment you are particularly sensitive to
6. What your general level of energy is like
7. What your level of sexual energy or desire is like

For a child some of these questions may be inappropriate or difficult to determine. In such a situation simply ignore those questions.

For children I also need the following information if able to be provided:

Children's Questions:

1. What occured to the mother during pregnancy - new symptoms, illnesses, medical treatments, emotional stresses.

2. What problems occured during the birth?

3. What was happening in the mother's life around the time of conception?

4. What illnesses did both parents have for the 5 years or so preceding conception?

Thank you, and I will answer the following questions as best as I can for him and what his response is. I hope this gives enough information to make some suggestions.

As of right now, his/my biggest concern is slow to no growth growth/lack of weight gain with eating adequate for growth, upper/lower body disconnection regards to physical activity.

1. What exactly happens?
To give an example of the body disconnection, swimming-->His upper body moves lower doesn't look like it is the same body. Lower body moves his upper doesn't work in usnison. It is like his brain can only direct one section at a time, and the cut off point is his mid section. He can do the movements, but they are slow, methodical, almost forced looking. If he gets angry/frustrated if his movements are fluid, the issue looks resolved. So we know it can happen, its just it does not occur on demand. Seems his reflexes/reaction time is delayed/slowed.

2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.

The knee pain on a scale of 1-10 is a 2. Early evening it can go to a 7. Activity increases it. Be mindful of this knee discomfort is only since taking the cal phos and baryta carb. Never mentioned knee issue prior to the meds. He describes it as an ache.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?

see above answered in question #2

4. What creates some relief for the problem?

sleep resolves it

5. What triggers the problem into occuring?

basketball/jumping

6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?

early evening, however he isn;t jumping any other time to perhaps aggravate it, so not sure if it is time of day or just activity

7. When did the problem start? after taking 200c cal phos, and 200c baryta carb

What was happening in your life at that time?

Nothing just interested in helping growth he seemed to match in description for these two homeopathic meds

Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?

No

Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing.

? not sure how to answer this above question

As well as this, please describe any traumatic indicidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.

1.He is the 3rd child of 4, all siblings are girls.
At the age of 1 month he had a urinary tract infection, treated with IV antibiotics, had spinal tap.
Urinary tract infection recurred at month 2, IV antibiotics again, had restricted foreskin so had to have circumscision at the age of 3 months under anesthesia, at this point post op, mother noticed loss of ability to nurse, it was as if he forgot, couldn't coordinate his suck reflex very trying time for both of us. Pumped breast milk as well as trying to resestablish ability to breast feed,
2. Fell down a flight of stairs at the age of 14-15 months, hit head, no concussion but did have a glazed/ startled look for several minutes
3. Vaccinated on time, never did well post vaccination, would fall ill with respiratory issues, runny nose, irritable
4. Delayed walking did not walk till 16-18 months
5. Delayed talking, did not truly speak words till around 3, and at best very difficult to make sense of what he was saying. Very frustrated child, crying alot. Youngest sister was born when he was 21 months old. Seemed very aloof at that time, not much affection for mother.
6.At the age of 3 is when his growth faltered, almost at a standstill,
7.. Started school at the age of 4, speech was mildly impaired,
8. Received MMR/chickenpox vaccine at the age of 5, two weeks later to the day, had a seizure, stiff neck, dizzy going up stairs/down stairs. Only wanted to lay on the cool tile floor
9. Two weeks after first seizure had another one, after a day at the swimming pool, kept his head down on a pool chair. We returned home I put him to bed, his right arm went straight out, eyes rolled. Just minutes before seizure wanted food. Fever with seizure
10. After seizures, lost most of his academic abilities he had mastered, such as writing his name, early reading, speech became unintelligible again, falling down walking accross a level floor. He was becoming more and more detached over the next six months. His left foot seemed to drag, also to this day his left foot arch is much more dropped than his right, but his walking is fine today. His visual perception seemed to be impaired at the time also, as if he couldn't feel his feet touching the stairs on descent.
11.Age of 7 being seen by endocrinologist because of low growth, only growing about 1-1.5 inch per year, bone xrays of hand showed abnormal formation of fingers, bulbous fingers, abnormal bone matrix. DEXA scan done and showed osteomalacia told to give him vitamin D and calcium. At the time his teeth were translucent at the edges, as he got better his teeth improved and went to yellow-->white, but they always teeter back and forth between yellowish-->white.
12. We treated his symptoms at the time with gluten free/casein free diet/vitamins. He was very sensitive to corn syrup in foods--->it seemed he was drunk from it if he consumed anything with corn syrup in it. Took from the age of 5 to the age of 9 to overcome the sensitivities, academically he is very smart, has won the math olympiad in 6th grade, in all high honors classes. Seems ahead maturity wise than his peers, VERY sensible, solid reasoning beyond his years. Very fastidious about following the rules and doing the right thing. Preschool teacher said she didn't think he would ever even get a speeding ticket he was that compliant
13. On occasion he has a reddish pimply looking rash that only comes out only on his left side of his neck/collarbone area, this has occurred regularly on and off since the seizures, no rhyme or reason, nothing I can think of that precipitates it.

Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.
He gets very quiet, but when probed will be forthcoming, but if pushed too much walks away, but then comes back.

Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior.

Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow.
As his mom, I notice he needs to be told to keep practicing, that mistakes are necessary for growth, for example his basketball coach tells him to do something faster, he holds back, it seems he thinks if he does he will lose control of the ball, so he stays at the same pace, so as to keep control.

Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases.

The childhood diseases are mentioned above,
Family-2 older sisters, one younger, mother and father. He keeps the peace, younger sister is difficult personality, so he tailors alot of his behavior based off of hers. Seems he goes along to get along.
School wise, very bright at the top of his class very interested in learning and does very well.
Peers-well liked by peers, one or two boys he hangs around with tend to not give him much regards, they did when he was not well, almost took him under their wing so to speak, but as he became stronger, and more equal in sports they were quite mean to him at times, which hurt his feelings at the time. Now he says it doesnt bother him, though he does still like being with them, he has quite a few other friends that are nicer to him.

If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:

1. The specific foods that you crave (not just like) or hate
He doesn't seem to crave any particular food, though dairy products are picking up in his choices over the past few weeks as opposed to before he wouldn't seek them out at all. Back when he was sick, he CRAVED sour things, and orange juice/lemon juice. Seems to go for spicy tasting foods
He hates applesauce, more the consistency of it than the taste
2. The specific drinks that you crave or hate
Orange juice is the favorite/lemonaide
Hates grape juice
3. What your sleep is like
9-10 hours uninterrupted, doesnt mention dreams of any type
4. How the weather and the temperature affects you
Likes the cool/cold wears light jacket when it is freezing outside, hates bulky jackets
5. What kinds of things in the environment you are particularly sensitive to
loud noise used to be a huge issue, seems to be fine with it now

6. What your general level of energy is like

His energy level is pretty good, HUGE improvement from younger childhood, he was listless at the age of 3-6 y/o

Pregnancy wasn't planned per se, mom was thrilled, dad less so. Mom received hepatitis B vaccine weeks before conception for work purposes, mom is RN
worked in hospital prior to conception and all throughout pregnancy. Flew overseas in 7month of pregnancy to attend husbands sisters wedding, not a good scene we entered into on that visit, but didn't have much impact on me except for the travel stress. No illness during pregnancy.

2. What problems occured during the birth?
8 hour normal delivery, he did aspirate/choked on mucous and briefly stopped breathing twice before discharge from hospital, both times doctor was present, never happened again.

3. What was happening in the mother's life around the time of conception?
Husband always worried about money, stress on mother

4. What illnesses did both parents have for the 5 years or so preceding conception?
Mom had mastitis both breasts with two previous pregnancies, sinus infection/flu.
Dad back/sciatica/shoulder pain, normal colds no major illnesses.

Forgot to add, area we live in has a very high iron content in water supply, before we knew this information, son drank this water/bathed in this water. Many of the boys in this area tend to be quite short compared to other towns. Back of my mind I feel the iron on top of everything else has stunted his growth.
Grandmother(maternal) grew up in an iron ore mining community. She died at the age of 53 from breast cancer, as did all 3 of her sisters.
Mothers sister also had breast cancer age of 43, if this is of any significance.
