This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
There is no nut in Nux-vomica. There is none of the original substance in there. So you will not be 'allergic' to a diluted medicine.
Also, Nux-vomica does not even belong to the same family as the Peanut which is a Legume. Nux belongs to the Loginaceae family (along with Ignatia and Gelsemium).

Every potency can produce symptoms that affect the emotions or mind - even raw substances can. Many of our symptoms come from poisonings. However, it does appear that the higher potencies create a more complex symptom at those levels. So a fear of animals might become a fear of dogs, or a fear of black dogs, or a fear of black dogs with demonic eyes.
However the sensitivity of the person taking the remedy is primarily responsible for the types of symptoms that a remedy produces. A very sensitive person will develop a host of very peculiar symptoms, regardless of the potency.
Dr. Divya Chhabra did an experiment where she reproved 2 well known remedies at different potencies (right up to MM). She found that it was more how the person expressed the symptoms that changed, rather than the specific symptoms themselves. More work needs to be done around that I think to draw proper conclusions.
Nux-vom will only antidote the effect of another remedy if the symptoms the person has fit Nux-vomica. It can help to rebalance a system that has been burned out by a lot of stimulants though, and this is something it is often useful for.
No remedy can undo cure. Cure is cure, cure is symptoms gone. They cannot come back by taking another remedy.
Palliation on the other hand can be undone quite easily.
