Tingling

My sister has been experiencing tingling that started in her upper back on the right side then down arm, hand and leg. She went to a sports injury lady and while sheadjusted her she heard something crack, that night she got the tingling all over and had a panic attack. Also when she is reading music she finds the notes double so she may be experiencing double vision. Do you think this could be a trapped nerve?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Lycopodium 200 as follows and report back after 15 days.

day 1 morning
1st dose

day 1 evening
2nd dose

day 2 morning
3rd dose

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

I gave her the Lyc and she did feel better the tingling did remain in her hand and thigh but she then picked up her little boy and had him on her shoulders and then this aggravated the Symptoms. She then felt numb again and all over right side again. What yould you suggest now? Also what would you think to phos or nat-m?

does nobody know about this?

Was it because of a sprain or injury the first time? Has she had it before? What are the modalities associated with the symptoms (better, worse, triggers etc)?

she has had back pain come and go over a few years and had always put it down to playing the violin as she is a professional. she has had a baby boy and did have a very truamatic birth ending up with an emergency caesarean. her symptoms started about a year after. she firstly got tingling in her upper back and it has gradually got worse.
she is worse bathing in a hot bath
lifting makes it worse (lifting her son, having him on her shoulders)
rubbing possible makes it better

ask me more if you need to!
thanks
I do not think there was a trigger but i do think the caesarean could have something to do with it or the shock of the birth. Also she lost her cat and her husband lost his grandma which she found hard thats why i was thinking nat-m maybe.

also she gets stressed when she is teaching and can hear her child crying in the next room (baby sitter) she wishes she didn't have to work so the're may be anxiety here too. she said it deffinately gets worse when she is stressed and did get a panic attack but i think she is thinking the worse as the docs suggested ms to her.

How did she handle the loss of her cat and her husband's loss of his grandmother?

I think you could be on to something with that observation.

She cried alot and then felt depressed. Still misses the cat dearly

I would give Ignatia.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Ah ok thanks brisbane
what potency would you say?

anna_jenkins last decade
Would you not say nat-m now as she is now crying now and nat-m physicals fit more?

anna_jenkins last decade
Ignatia somatizes grief more so than Nat-mur. Ignatia is for shock and loss. Nat-mur has identified too strongly with someone and has to learn to live alone. Ignatia has become devastated by a loss and finds it hard to get over it. Nat-mur finds the lack of a relationship too hard to bear. The differences between them are actually quite signficant. However, considering the lack of real case information, I could not rule out Nat-mur, but I would choose Ignatia first. You can always move to Nat-mur if Ignatia has no effect.

This is a chronic case, not an acute. For best effect a full case should be taken, and the patient themselves would need to participate in giving that information.

200c is fine, one dose, preferably given as a liquid dose not a dry one.

ok thank you!
when you say wet dose how would you take this?

anna_jenkins last decade
not pillules, the pillules should be dissolved in water.

If you only have pillules, dissolve 1 in 1/4 cup of water and stir thorougly. Take 1 teaspoon into the mouth. Do this once only and throw the rest of that cup out.

For subsequent doses, the medicine must be succussed. This would mean a small container must be used, where the remedy can be hit firmly against a surface.

why do you say not pillules? I have always used pillules or LMs is there something i am missing here?

anna_jenkins last decade
i am just curious.
Thanks for all your help!

As per the instructions in the Organon, every dose must be altered from the the previous one. This can only be done when the dose is liquid. The pillules cannot be altered they are always the exact same potency. In order to get the most out of a particular potency, it must be altered each time with stirring or preferably succussion.

Pillules, when used for extended periods, will run out of power to affect the disease.

She has taken the Ign, no reaction from it yet!

do you think an arnica wet dose would help here?

anna_jenkins last decade
If the symptoms call for Arnica then yes - if the complaint is an old injury it would probably be helpful, or if the sensations and pains are typical for Arnica. What indications are you looking at that suggest this remedy?

Remedies take several days to work in chronic cases - full results may not be seen for a week or more. Aggravation should occur first, followed by improvement. Any old symptoms which suddenly reoccur are particularly good signs.
