sleeping problems and depression/anxiety/sadness started 15 years ago after going through bankruptcy. back pain occurred after gaining too much weight. always had the headaches. when he was a child he would get constipated then get headaches.

Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU GIVE A COMPLETE PICTURE OF YOUR HEALTH BY PROVIDING ALL PROBLEMS YOU HAVE, EVEN IF NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN ONE, AND EVEN IF YOU CONSIDER IT OF LESS IMPORTANCE.

As well as this, please describe any traumatic indicidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.
His father died in his arms when he was 20 years old. He spent 1 hour giving him CPR until the ambulance arrived, but he had died. He died one week before his birthday. His passing was surprise to everybody. He feels sad every birthday now. Also, he had the Bankruptcy 15 years ago.

Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.

Has he had any homoeoapthy previously.

I am leaning towards Aurum metallicum as a remedy, although I might also consider Ignatia (with the grief and loss as focal points in his history).

What exactly was the feeling of going bankrupt for him?

He has taken homeopathic remedies before many years ago.

regarding bankruptcy he says: felt impotent, lost the power, idiot, what you will do with your life tomorrow, what problems will happen, why work so much to see the castle fall down, what are the pillars of this castle made of salt.

bluematter last decade
Ok that decides me on Aurum. If you can get Aurum metallicum 200c and give him a single dose.

It has been a few days since he took the dose as you suggested. He has noticed some major improvements. He explains to me that it's much easier to sleep and he sleeps all the way through now. Also he has been having multiple bathroom visits. He also feels calmer and feels he can get past difficult situations easier. All good signs. Nice job!

I will keep you posted on his progress.

Great result so far, although it is early days. Definitely keep me informed :)

10 days since taking one dose.

Feeling much better. Sleeps much better. Doesn't wake up tired. Still has pain on his back. 2-3 times day has bowel movements. Less appetite. when smoking cigarettes it gives him nausea now. A bit less patient and quick to answer back. more energy. More interest to drink healthier things like tea, instead of soft drinks. More interest to walk/exercise. Feels like he wants to stop smoking cigarettes and become healthy again. over the weekend had a desire to drink a beer. Easier for him to accept bad situations that before he would get stuck on.

seems its holding.

Excellent result so far.

Does he feel the progress has stalled or are there more positive changes each day?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
When I spoke to him I asked him if he feels the well being feelings had dissipated, but he was to quick to say NO. Other than the 'less patient' feedback he seems to be improving. Even the less patient I see as perhaps a suppression of feelings coming out. If you want I can ask him specifically about this tomorrow?

bluematter last decade
If he is still improving it is a good idea to wait until he either stops seeing further improvements, or he begins to relapse. Taking another dose too soon might aggravate him, and this can be somewhat damaging to the confidence of a patient who was otherwise doing well.

In the last 2 days he has had an ear infection in his right ear.
When he was 7 years old he tells me he had a very strong ear infection in his left ear, and hasnt had an ear infection since.

His voice when I talk to him is not as vibrant. He has been under a lot of stress lately and gets headaches, stomach feels is burning. He is quicker to get angry or frustrated. He is not an angry type that explodes or yellsÂ…he just gets sad and talks about his feelings of what happened.

He says he feels better, less back pain, feels he lost some weight, smoking more again, sleep is still well, bowel movements are still 3-4 a day.

He also says the remedy is perfect for him as he feels. but he says the moments of stress the last few days has caused him to be down and stress too much.

What do you think?

bluematter last decade
It is not unusual for environmental factors to cause enough stress to reactivate the disease, and cause a regression of the remedy. If he feels he is going backwards, a repeat dose of Aurum is definitely a good idea.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
what exactly warrants a repeat dose?

how is the repeat dose administered?

bluematter last decade
Is the remedy currently in pill form or liquid form?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
liquid form

bluematter last decade
Hit the bottle firmly twice only, place one drop in a 1/2 cup of water, stir thoroughly and give him 1 teaspoon of this mixture. Just that one dose and see how he goes.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Still holding/improving from the first dose. A second dose has not been necessary yet.

bluematter last decade
Great news - it bodes well for long term cure from this remedy.

Updating:
Took his third dose yesterday. says feels fine. a lot of stress from work and family lately. woke up yesterday with his inner voice telling him to take another dose.

he says he feels fine and is doing good. around this time is when his father passed away, but he feels much more at peace with it then years past.

Really really good to hear. The remedy appears perfect for him. And he seems to be using it at appropriate intervals as well.
