7 months pregnant with UTI

My doctor says I have a UTI and prescribed Bactrim. I have no symptoms. I don't feel comfortable taking this drug, but do not want the UTI to spread and harm my baby. However, I'm having a hard time determining what remedy I need because I have no symptoms. I can't remember which bacteria showed up in the culture, but it's not E Coli and he told me Bactrim is the only drug that will take care of the type of bacteria I have. I will call the office and try to get the name of it. Any suggestions?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You are wise in not taking the Bactrim when you are pregnant as you run the risk of harming your unborn baby. I am very surprised indeed that your doctor prescribed it after I presume you indicated that you were pregnant.

You must give me more data on how your UTI first started and for how long you have had it and the symptoms you have today and of course the ID of the bacteria which is essential.

Called the doctor's office today to get the results of my lab work. Just to clarify, this is an OB clinic and I am seeing this doctor for my pregnancy. At first, she told me everything had come back negative and couldn't find any urine work on me. Then she searched some more and told me the bacteria they had found was what sounded to me like 'clepsia immonia' Google corrected this as eclampsia ammonia. I haven't been able to find anything linked to this being considered a UTI. I still have no symptoms.

I am indeed very surprised that a medical officer in your city seems to be irresponsible in his diagnosis of what he presumed to be your ailment and subsequently prescribed Bactrim for this imagined illness which he has bestowed upon you.

In your own interest you are advised to consult another Gynecologist in another hospital to get an opinion if your present contact can be believed.

Tried the spelling with a K on Google and found klebsiella pneumoniae

I can only repeat my advice to you to seek an alternate opinion from another gynecologist.
