Lycopodium constitution?

I have been using homeopathy for 20 years under treatment of professionals, and on my own. In 2003 a homeopath recommended Lyc LM1 to start, as constitutional. I had tried it and did not follow up, and he moved his practice to another state. Meanwhile various other professionals try to give me different remedies, even tho I tell them Lyc is working. Last year I took an online homeopathic survey of many questions which revealed Lyc is my remedy. I remembered the LM I had and tried it. It helped many things, one in particular is a parasomnia (I sleep walk and eat in my sleep.) this disappeared from the remedy, along with some gas and digestive disturbance, and helped my mood. After a month I stopped, and the symptoms returned so I resumed. I have experimented enough to know it is unmistakable this remedy cures, but I must continue. (I am very sensitive to high potencies, so LM is best for me.) In the meantime if I visit a naturopath for other things as nutrition, they also do homeopathy, I tell them I am Lyc, they tell me I am something else and tell me to switch. When I get off Lyc and try something else, I am much worse. Why won't anyone believe Lyc works for me? Or does resolving lifelong parasomnia not necessarily mean this is my constitutional remedy? So, even tho I believe it is working, I would still like to have a professional homeopath, so that I can be monitored on dosing, as how often, or when to progress to LM3 (I went to LM2 on my own when LM1 stopped working) and to monitor if I change to another constitution. But no one will accept that Lycopodium works. I did you extensive survey online, and it came up Lycopodium number one remedy. If you would like to ask me questons to see what remedy is indicated, let me know. Otherwise, can I keep on taking Lyc in LM, just going to the next higher potency when the current one begins to fail? Please advise.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Do your symptoms return exactly as before, when you stop the medicine?

Do you have any kind of pathology (tissue changes in the body related to disease)?

Are you on any regular orthodox medication?

yes they return exactly, mostly the sleep walking, which I am happy to be rid of. no tissue changes for sleep walking. take very low dose prescription blood pressure medicine.

It is probably the wrong remedy then. If the symptoms are returning exactly as before, the Lycopodium is only palliating your symptoms. Over time, your condition will probably worsen, as palliationg does not address the underlying cause of your problems.

If a remedy is truly curative, then if the symptoms do return, they are of less intensity, less frequency, and cause less suffering. Very often this improvement will last for weeks, months or even years after the remedy is stopped.

In a case where the symptoms are returning exactly as before, no cure is taking place, and even palliation eventually will stop as your body finds new ways to express the disease and 'get around' the palliating/suppressive effective of the Lycopodium.

oh no! even tho for the first time sleep walking is cured after lifelong problem? do you want to view my survey results to see what else may be indicated, or ask questions? survey indicates Lyc as well.

It is not cured - you said it came back exactly as before. Cure means gone for good, without needing to constantly retake the remedy. If it comes back in the same way, as soon as the remedy is stopped, then the remedy is merely hiding the symptoms. This is exactly how orthodox medicine generally works too.

The proof is always in the results, no matter how good the remedy might seem. It is probably close to what you really need, but only being close will probably not cure.

I understand that, but I asked you if you want the information to re-determine what is indicated. I also said that more than one resource chose Lycopodium (not myself). I also described the dept of that particular problem, which no allopathic or natural thing has ever cured before, nothing could even stop it for one day before.

a child was cured of Autism dosing daily LM potency, gradually increasing from LM1 and up, and succussing daily to slightly increase in between - given daily for ONE year! symptoms would return if dosing stopped, it took one year.

Taz55:

I fully agree to brisbanehomoeopath and would recommend to fill out the form found on the forum, so someone on this forum could assess your case and suggest a better remedy for you.

Moreover, if we give too many symptoms, lyco or sulphur would be the most likely remedy to come on the top, so you cannot always believe it if it is your remedy.

An Expert homeopath, takes many things into consideration while prescribing a remedy.

I would also add that self prescribing in homeopathy could be very dangerious. You could post your case at abc, and above all its free, so you won't have to pay anything for the Expert Opinion.

I am not self prescribing, a homeopath gave me the remedy.
