Infant Circumcision
Dr.Nawaz / Dr.Mehfooz:I have delivered a baby boy on 12 days back. The delivery was done with the help of Forceps due to some complication at the time of birth...My child had several injuries due to this kind of delivery and his head is still swollen...Doctors has said that he is out of danger and fine but I am concerned about the swollen head....Please help.
Secondly, he had mild jaundice and we had to get him under phototherapy for 2 days. Today he got circumcised also...We need your help in the current scenario and medicines are sought for Mild Jaundice, Swollen Head and to subdue pain due to circumcision..

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am simply amazed that a 12 day old baby who has been delivered by forceps whose condition today you described as copied below, has been further traumatized by circimcision.

I note that you have addressed your post to Nawaz and Mehfooz who have not responded so far. Whilst awaiting their response, I would suggest that you use Arnica 30c in the Wet dose given every 2 hours to help reduce his swollen head and to heal the additional awful injury caused by circumcision.
The dose for your baby is a few drops which you can place into his mouth when he screams. You can expect his screams to quieten down shortly after the first dose and the Arnica will also help to reduce the swelling in his head.
May I also suggest that you consult a pediatrician who can advise you further with his present medical condition.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.
Just in case you cannot get the Liquid Dilution you can use 6 pellets of Arnica 30c which is freely available in the bottle of water.
I do wish that the Jewish Homeopath was present today on this Forum as he would have had some interesting comments to make on this inhuman exercise, which should in my opinion, never have been carried out taking into consideration the condition the baby is in today after a difficult birth.

I disagree with you and the others against circumcision as this is beyond the scope of this thread. Patient did not ask for the justification.
So, why start all this? What is your objective here? What are you trying to accomplish here? Are you trying to degrade some or millions of people on this planet?
The following are the thoughts of a Doctor.
'Circumcision of newborn boys (I.e., within the first month of life) brings numerous health benefits, including:
1 Protection against local infection in the penis, which may result from the presence of the foreskin, causing tightening of the foreskin, which may lead to retention of urine or infections of the glans (tip) of the penis which require circumcision in order to treat these problems. In chronic cases, the child may be exposed to numerous diseases in the future, the most serious of which is cancer of the penis.
2 Infections of the urethra. Many studies have proven that uncircumcised boys are more exposed to infection of the urethra. In some studies the rate was 39 times more among uncircumcised boys. In other studies the rate was ten times more. Other studies showed that 95% of children who suffered from infections of the urethra were uncircumcised, whereas the rate among circumcised children did not exceed 5%.
In children, infection of the urethra is serious in some cases. In the study by Wisewell on 88 children who suffered infections of the urethra, in 36 % of them, the same bacteria was found in the blood also. Three of them contracted meningitis, and two suffered renal failure. Two others died as a result of the spread of the micro-organisms throughout the body.
3 Protection against cancer of the penis: the studies agree that cancer of the penis is almost non-existent among circumcised men, whereas the rate among uncircumcised men is not insignificant. In the US the rate of penile cancer among circumcised men is zero, whilst among uncircumcised men it is 2.2 in every 100,000 of the uncircumcised population. As most of the inhabitants of the US are circumcised, the cases of this cancer there are between 750 and 1000 per year. If the population were not circumcised, the number of cases would reach 3000. In countries where boys are not circumcised, such as China, Uganda and Puerto Rico, penile cancer represents between 12-22 % of all cancers found in men; this is a very high percentage.
4 Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Researchers found that the STDs which are transmitted via sexual contact (usually because of fornication/adultery and homosexuality) spread more among those who are not circumcised, especially herpes, soft chancres, syphilis, candida, gonorrhea and genital warts.
There are numerous modern studies which confirm that circumcision reduces the possibility of contracting AIDS when compared to their uncircumcised counterparts. But that does not rule out the possibility of a circumcised man contracting AIDS as the result of sexual contact with a person who has AIDS. Circumcision is not a protection against it, and there is no real way of protecting oneself against the many sexually transmitted diseases apart from avoiding fornication/adultery, promiscuity, homosexuality and other repugnant practices. (From this we can see the wisdom of Islamic sharee'ah in forbidding fornication/adultery and homosexuality).
5 Protection of wives against cervical cancer. Researchers have noted that the wives of circumcised men have less risk of getting cervical cancer than the wives of uncircumcised men.

Since you have addressed your post to me I felt that I should educate you on the reason why I felt that this operation was inhuman at the time this crude surgery was done on the baby who was delivered by forceps which resulted in 'several injuries due to this kind of delivery and his head is still swollen' even on the 12th day after he was delivered.
I am not interested in your long analysis with UN references in defense of circumcision. All I wished to do was to express my disgust at carrying out this barbaric practice on this defenseless infant who was lucky to be alive after a traumatic birth.
Since you have addressed your post to me I felt that I should educate you on the reason why I felt that this operation was inhuman at the time this crude surgery was done on the baby who was delivered by forceps which resulted in 'several injuries due to this kind of delivery and his head is still swollen' even on the 12th day after he was delivered.

whatever u all say but my son did suffer from an infected penis oozing pus whih i did'nt notice as it was under the fold of the skin.i was late in getting him circumsized but when i did it the dr. was thankful we got it right on time or else the infection would have spread.no wonder its practiced by millions.
