fish like skin - ichthyosis
I am male, 45 years old. I have this genetic problem since childhood (one of my uncles has this problem). Parts of the body, legs, hands esp., start developing dry, scales in winter which disappear during hot weather. Normal oil never works. Glycerine with rose water has been the best treatment but difficult to use regularly.I also have asthma since childhood (read my previous post).
Have been trying to investigate medicines in homeopathy. Arsenicum Alb, Sulphur,Platanus,Hydrocotyle,etc do not have any effect. Dulcamara in recent attempts is showing a ray of hope as the regenration of scales seems to stop and the skin does not look that dry either. I picked up Dulcamar because of its main characteristics 'affected by dry cold winds'. Anyone else has an experience with this problem and is there a better treatment that I could be missing?

Your problem is of interest to me and I note that no other advisor on this form has responded so far although you posted it yesterday. I must state at the outset that your problem is indeed rare and I have never treated a case like yours before.
I have had some remarkable success in using Arnica 6c in the Wet dose to treat chronic skin conditions like Eczema, Acne, Dry Skin, and Cellulitis and I feel that there is every chance that Arnica can help your condition. Arnica cures by increasing the supply of blood into the minute capillaries under the skin and this ensures that the patient is cured of ailments like Eczema, Acne and Cellulitis. In the case of Cellulitis it cannot cure a chronic case which will only respond to powerful antibiotics like Augmentin. After the patient is cured usually in hospital I have many patients who are daily on my therapy who have not had any recurrent infection of Cellulitis for about 8 years.
You have also stated that you suffer form Asthma since childhood and it is interesting to record that skin conditions like Eczema has some affinity to Asthma. I shall treat your Skin first and your Asthma later.
The remedy that you will use is Arnica 6c in the Wet dose taken thrice daily. You will also apply the remedy directly on the affected area and you can use a clean fresh wad of cotton or your finger tips to do so.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.
Report your response in 4 days after you start this therapy.
It is understood that you will stop all other drugs and remedies if you use my therapy.
