cough and nose block for last 2 months
Around 2 months back, this problem started with blocked nose and blocked throat. Even after 3 rounds of antibiotic and anti-allergy treatment, there is no improvement. I had prior case of sinusitis that I used to manage with steam inhalation and anti-allergy medicines. However, this time, it is not going.My problem gets worse during day. Especially when I go out of my house (lot of pollution also in Bangalore). The nose is blocked (not running nose) and it is hard to blow out (thick mucous). The throat is blocked and after lot of effort, I am able to cough it out. During coughing, it takes several attempts to cough out small quanitity of mucuos. The throat mucuous is greyish in colour (dirty). Coughing normally doesn't occur continuously. Only at some intervals, when I get a feeling that my throat and chest are choking, congested. After trying several times, and making rattling kind of sound, does the mucous come out.
If I breathe in heavily, left side of chest feels like wheezing.
I consulted one homeopath, who gave me Single dose of 'Silicea 200', followed by some branded combinations for allergy and nose congestion. While I felt some relief after taking Silicea, I am not sure if other combos are helping me.
Need help in locating appropriate medicine.

Please take a single dose of Arsenicum Album 200C, 4 drops in 2 sips of mineral water, only one dose please. Then, report progress in 2 days.

Thank you. I will try it out today and let you know the results. Somehow, my problem increases during day time (starts from morning and aggravates towards afternoon). Normally, I have heard people suffering in evening and nights.

dear Nawaz, I tried Arsenicum Album 200 single dose, as suggested in your post. I didn't have any noticeable change in my condition.
As mentioned earlier, I had previously taken single dose of Silicea 200, followed by 2 branded combos - Alpha-NC and Alleril. On the day I took Ars Alb, I didn't take other medicines.
I am curious about why I feel better in evening and night. The nose is not as blocked as it is during day time and the urge to cough (to clear the throat) is also not there.
From morning, again the nose starts blocking and periodically I feel the urge to cough to clear the throat. I am not sure if it is due to pollution or some unique condition.
The wheezing has almost stopped since I started taking the medicines (combos). But nose block and coughing are still present.
Is there any diagnostic test or any other line of investigation?
