possible hypothyroidism
My son, 38, has been having progressively worse symptoms that seem to point to hypothyroidism/hasimoto's :Fatigue
Dry skin and hair
Hair thinning/hair loss
Depression
Morning headaches that get better throughout the day
Foggy brain
Loss of memory
Hoarse voice
Difficulty concentrating
Intolerance to cold
Low body temperature
Poor circulation/numbness in hands and feet
Muscle cramps with no exertion
Weight gain and difficulty losing it
Decreased appetite
Constipation
Gallbladder diseases such as gallstones
Chronic digestive problems such as low stomach acid
Symptoms of Hashimoto's
Heart palpations
Increased pulse without exertion
Anxiety, nervousness
Insomnia
Muscle and joint pain
The symptoms that bother him the most are knee pain and heart palpitations.
When he was 19 he was riding his bicycle down a steep hill and a car pulled right in front of him. His knees took the brunt of the hit and it threw him over the car. He was not hurt in any other way. His knees started hurting again about 10 years ago when he started doing a total house remodel - lots of bending, kneeling, stooping.
The heart palpitations come and go with no set pattern - he's not always doing anything strenuous. His heart speeds up and then seems to skip a beat and repeats this for several minutes. It goes away on it's own.
He has done gallbladder/liver cleanses in the past and has passed gallstones.
His diet is restrictive in that he eats mostly meat with little or no vegetables or fruit.
I've been trying on my own to research his symptoms but I would really like more expert advice.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please ask him to take three doses of Nux Vomica 200 as follows and report back after 15 days.
day 1 morning
1st dose
day 1 evening
2nd dose
day 2 morning
3rd dose
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.
He may take Arnica 30 in the morning and Rhus Tox 30 at night for 3 days every week for few weeks and see whether it helps his knee.
He should start Arnica Rhus after a gap of 7 days of taking Nux Vomica 200.

I wanted to write to see if you would also work with me, not just my son. Actually I also have the same symptoms he does and am taking the prescribed doses. We are both feeling better but will report back after the 15 days.
I have had something else come up. I was just diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. I am trying to figure out which remedy to take and think that the Rhus Tox would be the right one.
Should I set up a different post than the one I am using for my son so it won't be confusing?
