This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Allopathic means prescribing on any basis other than the Law of Similars. It is a type of prescribing that is not Homoeopathic at all. It literally means 'other suffering' whereas homoeopathy means 'similar suffering'. You are using something other than the symptoms to prescribe on, and using a medicine that does not cause similar symptoms to treat the patient.

This might mean prescribing for an assumed underlying cause (I think all your problems are a result of low iron in the blood) or on the basis of a causation that is not definite (your mother died so I will give Ignatia). It might be where a 'tonic' is given (lycopodium is good for the liver) or a standard remedy is used to 'open' or 'clear' a case (such as Sulphur or Nux-vomica). It might be to create a specific effect, such as using Chemotherapy in c-ancer treatments.

People can use potentized medicines homoeopathically or allopathically - it is all about what is being used to prescribe on.
