Argentum Nitricum Overdose

Hello everyone,

I took a few doses of Arg.N. 200c over a two week period and it landed me in the hospital because I was so delusional and I had horrible chest pains, especially at night, which really drove me to the point that I thought I was going to die and my heart would stop. I am still having very delusional thinking, and I am interpreting things I see in my own light, which is bothersome sometime because I think of the number 8 as ATE and it's making life very difficult for me. I know I have proved the remedy on me because I took too many doses. Lesson learned, Homeopathy is not a joke. Anyway, I have to know how to antidote the remedy properly. I am experiencing almost all of the symptoms of Arg. N. I saw that Nat. M. antidotes Arg. N., but I want someone's opinion on how I should proceed to take the antidote because I don't want to mess myself up even more.

Thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Are these your normal kind of symptoms?

Who prescribed the Arg-nit for you?

How did you take those doses?

Nat-mur will only Antidote if the symptoms you have right now suit Nat-mur. The law of similars still needs to be followed even when antidoting (if that is what is needed).

If the remedy is another wrong one....well you can see how powerful homoeopathy is now.

David,

Thanks for your hasty reply. To answer your questions, no these are not normal symptoms. I prefer to leave the person who prescribed to me Arg. N. anonymous, but let's just say that that person was spot on with the remedy since improvement was clearly seen after taking the first dose of Arg. N. I did however take them one too many times. The remedy was in a liquid dose and I have never taken a liquid dose before and it was way to powerful for me. The doses I took in the following way. One cup of water, two drops of the remedy, succuss 8 to 10 times, drink one sip. The last time I took the remedy, I had completely forgotten that I had put two drops of the Arg. N. into a cup of water and drank a huge gulp of it. Immediately after taking the drink, my body started shaking vigorously. Trembling all over. I couldn't sleep because I was afraid that if the light go out, I go out. And I kept feeling that my heart was stopping... it was quite a scary and intesnse experience. I had called the homeopath the day after and I was told to counteract the remedy with a low potency Arg. N. The lowest one I have available is 12c and I took a little bit of it, but the symptoms of the 'proving', to call it such, haven't all gone away yet. I will wait a little longer, and possibly stop taking the remedies all together for a while unless a better alternative is available.

Thanks

In asking who had prescribed it, I didn't want a name just that you were under someone's care and that person is a qualified and experienced homoeopath. Mental illness is VERY tricky and you want someone who knows what they are doing.

So this is definitely a proving. My experience is that low potencies do not antidote higher ones. They cannot, as in order for a homoeopathic medicine to cure anything, it must be stronger than the disease or condition it is being set against.

This should not make you afraid of homoeopathy but respectful of it. Only take the minimum amount, and I would only take it when advised to.

The main problem is almost certainly the size and frequency of the dose. You need to do several things to make Arg-nit easier for you to handle.

Hit the bottle 2 times only. All the extra succussions are increasing the strength of the medicine. I only get patients to hit the bottle twice. Increasing just one or two hits often aggravates them.

Only put 1 drop in the water (and stir thoroughly).

Instead of sipping from that cup with the drop in it, take 1 teaspoon out and put it in a second full cup (250mls) of water. Take 1 teaspoon from that instead. You can continue diluting into further cups to decrease the strength of the aggravtion. Some of my very sensitive patients may dilute into 4 or 5 cups before they are able to bear the effect of the medicine.

Considering your symptoms, I would say Arsenicum is a better match than Nat-mur, and it is one of the other known antidotes.
