Dr Sameer Vermani, please help me out - chronic case of IBS,anxiety disorder and acid reflux

Sex: Male
Age: 21
Nature of work: Student

1. Describe your main suffering?

a)Suffering from IBS since 2 years. Predominantly loose stools that are sometimes narrow and sometimes watery accompanied or alternated by constipation. Sometimes there is no desire to pass stools in morning while sometimes there is an urgent desire. Loose stools are always accompanied by burning or inflammation kind of feeling in rectum that is worse after passing stools and subsides later.

b)Suffering from Anxiety Disorder since 2 years. I often get abdominal cramps from anxiety followed by passing of flatulence or urge of stool. Otherwise I get tremors in hands or sometimes in whole body when there is a sudden anxiety. Another very weird kind of anxiety from which I suffer is during walking. Whenever I cross a busy road or street or walk past certain crowded places I get a weird feeling of anxiety as if I am walking in some wrong way or everyone is looking at me. I just cant explain it completely in words. This is worse when I am walking alone.

c)Suffering from acid reflux since 1 ½ year that extends upto throat and causes soreness and pain which becomes worse on empty stomach and on talking for long time. I rarely get heartburns but when they occur they are very intense. Mild burning at the junction of stomach and esophagus is felt.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

a) I am prone to frequent headaches that come under the typical ‘Tension Headaches’. I get these types of headaches almost 4-5 times a week and they are getting worse day by day.

b) Loss of memorization power in studies since about 1 year.

c) Low appetite. No hunger feeling in morning and afternoon but great feeling in evening at about 5pm-8pm.

d) Lethargic feeling whole day. Sleepy in afternoon. Disturbed sleep at night due to dreams. Wake up early in morning then frequent disturbed short naps of sleep. Unrefreshed in morning after waking.

e) Acne on face, chest, shoulders and back since about 4-5 years. Face acne were treated by allopathic medicines but scars are present. Still get new outbreaks. Dandruff in hairs.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

Irritable nature, often irritate at least things. Always a closed book, never shares emotions/feelings or problems to anyone whether family or friends. But this doesn't means that I always remain happy in front of everyone. When I am in some problem I will usually hide, I may look tense but I will never express. CAN'T BEAR DISAPPOINTMENT. Disappointment always causes anxiety, often causes anger/emotions that usually can't be expressed. Get tensed often at less important things. Extremes of moods, highly emotional easily gets either irritable or upset without a valid reason. Love with someone unobtainable. Discontentment of everything, hatred feeling towards others. Tension about family's health especially father. Tension about own studies/career. Tension and depression from an unrequited love. Greatly Introvert. Any form of rejection, humiliation or grief is intolerable.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst? Describe the sensation in your own words.

Very irritable. Feeling that my ailments are untreatable by any means.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

a) Tension about own studies/career - I was always excellent in studies through my entire school life. This tension developed after a series of failed attempts and disappointment in studies in past two years and the IBS-anxiety problem developed during the phase when this tension was also prevalent as I was preparing for an entrance exam which was the last opportunity for me after a series of bad performances in exams. Although I cleared that exam but the problems continued further. Currently also I am tensed about repeated bad performances in exams inspite of putting so much efforts and hardwork and there is a fear of ruining of my career and future.

b) Tension about family's health especially father’s which is much prevalent since 2-3 years.

c) An unrequited love - Here unrequited doesn't means rejection but the love is unrequited because of not being obtainable. (IBS-anxiety disorder developed in this period).

6. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I note that you have addressed your post to Dr Sameer but since he has not replied it so far I shall record my advice below.

It is very likely that you are suffering from Gastritis aka GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux disease). There is also a faint possibility that you may be suffering from Diverticulitis because you have also reported to have been suffering from IBS but this can be overlooked till you indicate your response to my therapy below which should hopefully help your GERD symptoms in a few weeks or earlier.

I shall copy the therapy I have prescribed to hundreds of patients who presented GERD, the large majority of whom have been cured.

Your remedies are as follows:

Nat Phos 6x dose 3-4 tablets taken immediately after each of 2 meals
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

You can expect relief from your ailment hopefully within 24 hours.
Do not eat large meals. Eat small meals but more often if you feel hungry. Do not drink more that a few sips of water after your meals. This is to prevent the further dilution of your gastric juice which can then reflux into your Esophagus which results in GERD.

It is important that you do not go to bed for at least 2 hours after dinner as food will take about this time to digest and it is best to stay awake and upright to enable your food to digest before going to bed.

No fatty food, alcohol, coffee, preserved meats like sausages, ham, bacon as they contain Saltpeter which will antidote the remedies listed immediately.

If you suffer from a stomach ache or you feel your stomach puffing up before a meal during the day between meals this is usually due to hunger pains, caused by your gastric juices attacking the inner wall of your stomach. The simple remedy is to eat some food like a biscuit or a banana to keep the gastric juice away from digesting the stomach wall when you will experience a stomach ache which in some cases can be very acute.

You must drink at least 3 liters of liquids, preferably water daily and you must also exercise for at least half hour daily to sweat it out as this is all part of my therapy to overcome GERD.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Liquid Alcohol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.

Please visit the links below which record the cases of other patients whom I have treated for GERD.

STOP using all other drugs and report progress in a week.

Thanks Dr Joe for replying.

I have already seen this treatment of yours for GERD before in many posts and once I even tried out Nat Phos 6X for one week.

It was not much effective in my case. Taking 4 pellets two times didn't helped me. I had to take it at least 3 times or sometimes 4 times which brought some mild relief. But I had to stop it after a week because of an abrupt increase in my urine frequency which I don't know why but was because of Nat Phos 6X.

I have not tried Arnica 30 in wet dose. I would surely give it a try if nothing else works out in my acid reflux problem.
But first I will like to hear the advice of Dr Sameer as I want a complete cure for my IBS and anxiety also.
