Eczema eyelids and asthma
My daughter's (almost 6 yrs old)eczema got worse again during Christmas, we think we've pinned it down to an allergic reaction to clementines, but since then her eyelids have been really flaky and sometimes red and it hasn't really gone away. Her asthma has just flared up with a rattly chesty cough, perhaps she is reacting to pollen, not really sure. She developed an allergay to cats about 18mths ago and had a hazelnut allergy (which she has since overcome after hospital tests) when she was 3 for about 1 year. Her coughing boughts often used to make her sick and she gets mucus. Coughing is worse evening/nightime.Her face often looks quite puffy, her eyes produce some mucus and the corners are pale, she has lack of thirst, has always craved food of any description. She needs lots of reassurance and cuddles, has a very good sense of humour and is very bright. She is painfully shy with strangers or if out on the spot, but once comfortable she is a total chatterbox and gets on with adults very well, who often comment what good company she is. Hope that's enough info.
Let me know if you have any ideas...I've been giving her 30c of Ant tart 3x a day for 5 days, but symptoms haven't got any better. She has been complaining about feeling slightly sick too.

How often does she get an Asthmatic attack and how severe is it?
What drugs and inhalers have you been giving her and how often?
Have you nebulized her and if so how often?
How soon does she respond to the drugs during an attack?
Does she get Asthma during wet weather?
Does she get frequent colds and coughs?
Does any food set it off?
You also mentioned that she suffers from Eczema.

How often does she get an Asthmatic attack and how severe is it? Once every 2 months she gets wheezy. Whilst I would say she gets a chesty cough with asthma every 3 months. This used to always cause lots of coughing at night and vomiting (sometimes several timse a night), but now she seems to cough up whitish phlegm, but it can result in sick. She can get wheezy if she's jumping around, and over excited as well.
What drugs and inhalers have you been giving her and how often? Ventolin. I try not to use this too much unless necessary and encourage her to breath through her nose and sit quietly. She only probably uses it half a dozen times every couple of months.
Have you nebulized her and if so how often? She was nebulized first time the doctor acknowledged she has asthma and then when she was sent to the hospital immediately afterwards. This attack was termed as a moderate attack.
How soon does she respond to the drugs during an attack? She says it gives her relief quite instantly.
Does she get Asthma during wet weather? Not sure.
Does she get frequent colds and coughs? She used to get very frequent coughs when she was younger, every 6wks throughout Winter. Now it's not as much. I wouldn't say she gets frequent colds, but often suffers from snuffly nose, lots of sneezing (as if allergic), itchy nose. Slight dry eczema on her nose now as well (started same time as the eyelids)
Does any food set it off?
Citris, citric acid makes her eczema slightly worse. Haven't noticed any triggers for asthma.
You also mentioned that she suffers from Eczema.
Which of the 2 diseases is worse and how bad is her Eczema? Her eczema is persistant, not bad but has never really gone away. Used to be quite bad when she was younger, I would bandage her elbows to stop her itching them and they were scarred and red. We put natural moisturiser on her face and trunk everyday to keep it at bay. Her asthma is more periodic.
She also has a very blocked right ear. She also gets slight tummy aches after drinking water on quite a regular basis.She hates water in her eyes and spiders?! She takes a lots of coaxing into doing things and can be very stubborn, but loves drawing (runs in the family).

Asthma: Nat Sulph 6c in the Wet Dose one teaspoonful taken nightly.
Eczema Arnica 6c in the Wet Dose one teaspoonful taken twice daily.
Catarrh The 3 remedies listed below to be used precisely in the order prescribed.
Calcarea Carb 30c
Phosphorous 30c
Lycopidium 30c
Take 4 pellets of each remedy 2-3 hours apart sublingually in the order given. Do not repeat the dose without my instructions.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.
Report her response in 2 weeks.

Thanks so much, I'm gonna go and buy those items now. She was wheezing and coughing most of the night and was sick, so I'm hoping this will be answer, poor thing.

The nat sulph hasn't seemed to work this evening and I had to use the inhaler as her coughing fits were terrible all evening and when she went to bed. she was sick again as well. Should I continue tomorrow night?
I've read about Kali mur for gemimi's and it struct a chord as she also has a blocked right ear and the eczema is white and flaky on her face?!
Just wondered what you think. Please advise regarding the course of nat sulph.

You will have to continue with the inhaler that she is using today till the Nat Sulph takes over. It is still too early to evaluate if NS is the remedy of choice but we should be able to do so in another 2 days. In the meanwhile increase her dose to twice daily.
Order Blatta Orientalis 6c in the Liquid Dilution which may be necessary if NS does not help her.
Have you given her the 3 remedies in the dry pellets as prescribed?
Have they helped her in any way?
