Long term use

My son uses bufo rana, low dose, and sometimes zincum but I am a bit worried because I think that he will have to use it for a long time. Are there any bad long term effects?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Any remedy can have side effects if it is the wrong remedy, or if it is given too frequently. However, there is no specific time that a remedy can be taken for, each person has their own indiviual needs. If a patient is improving, is not developing new symptoms, and none of their old symptoms are worsening, then it is fine to continue with a remedy.

Is a homoeopath managing your son's case though. That is the most important thing, to have someone who knows the case intimately, and is monitoring the effects of the remedies.

Thanks heaps. I think that the b.r. has been good in that his behaviour became less connected with social withdrawal, and has stayed pretty much like that. I haven't actually noticed any bad effects and we have never increased the number of pillules. I found out about the b.r. from the Remedy Finder on this site. I had a talk on the phone about it with a homeopath. She was very understanding about it and she thought it was a good choice to start with. I told her I read some things on another site about loss of zinc with some boys with his sort of behaviour and she suggested the homeopathic zincum but to be honest I wonder if an actual supplement might not be a better idea.
