belladonna
After exhaustive reading, I have decided belladonna would be the best thing to help my excess saliva as the Doc would just put me on Hyoscine or Atopine which are both extracted from belladonna.I had a severe stroke when I was 42, I am 49 now. I have slowly been taking myself off the antidepressants, but they significantly reduced my saliva, which is where the belladonna comes in. But how often should I take the dosage? They are Nelsons 30c and they say 2 pillules every 2 hours.
I just wanted a professionals point of view.

You will probably not be able to choose a medicine for yourself. The system for analyzing and deciding on a remedy for a chronic problem is complex and rarely can it be done for yourself. Not even a fully trained and experienced homoeopath can do that for their own case.
The whole philosophy of homoeopathy revolves around the concept of a single medicine prescribed on the 'totality' of the case - or the whole case. Disease comes from a 'derangement' of the vital energy (life force) which manifests itself at various levels or locations in the person (mental, emotional, general, physical). Blocking or suppressing symptoms at the local level will cause the vital energy to push harder (makes the symptom worse) or transfer that pressure to a new location (new symptom often more serious).
Only by correcting this disturbance can a symptom be permanently cured without causing further damage to the person.The remedies do not work locally but generally, directly on the vital force, and so it is difficult to just aim them at one symptom - they will affect the whole body regardless of the intention of the prescriber (and so there are often side effects if they are used this way).
The best way to deal with this situation is have an experienced homoeopath take your entire case.
