oab incontinence

I had been TURPed last Feb and from that date though I have improved my urine flow. I have the problem of leak whenever I am in standing or moving position. I have to use protective pads through out to prevent wetting . In the nights I pass 3 to 4 times urine and in spite of that there is leakage and is wetting the pads

I was prescrebed Detrusital by urologists and had no significant result
Now I am taking Arnica 30 and conium 6 in wet dose
Is there any better medication to control involuntary flow

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Pl let us know your age. Further please let us also know if your doctor has said any problem of BHP (Enlargement of Prostate gland).
If the blood test is conducted then what is the value of PSA.
All this information will help in deciding the right medicine.

I owe you an apology. I missed reading the first part of your msg regarding TURP.I stand corrected now.
However, I suspect that there must be some internal injury while performing the procedure.
Therefore,I suggest you to take BELLIS PERRINIS 6c three times a day 5 pills for about a week & see the improvement. This is a very good medicine for any internal injury taking place due
any invasive procedure in the body.

As advised I had taken BELLIS PERRINIS . There has not been any improvement, I feel this is a neurogenic bladder and probably some medicine on this may be good

I note that you had already commenced to take the 2 remedies that I had prescribed to many senior citizens many of whom had benefitted from my discovery that these 2 remedies helped in some mysterious manner to help the patient who suffered from the after effects of TURP surgery which involves the use of a device which erodes the Urethra passing through the Prostate gland to open up the passage which is usually blocked due to enlargement of the Prostate.

The Uro who does this surgery is not aware of how deep the cutting device goes into the Urethral passage as this requires much experience and you now know the terrible after effects of this accidental damage done during the surgery where the Neck of the Bladder and the Urethral Sphincter muscle have been torn up or otherwise damaged. You are already suffering from this experimental surgery conducted by a novice surgeon who has obviously dug too deep. I believe that the therapy I have prescribed to many patients who presented almost identical symptoms after TURP surgery to yours can help you. It must be understood however that you cannot expect a quick fix but almost all my patients have responded positively in a manner that no drug can equate.

Continue with your present therapy comprising:

Arnica 6c and Conium 6c both in the Wet dose taken thrice daily for about a month and reduced to twice daily thereafter.

Report your progress weekly.

I have been taking Arnica 30 and Conium 6 from Jan 2011 onwards and the amount of leak persist during standing and walking. During sleep also there is mild leak in spite of my scheduled voiding 3 to 4 times. I use 2 incontinence absorbing pads
every day . When I am in sitting posture there is no leak
obviously due to no gravity/

I note that you persist in taking the Arnica in the 30c potency when I prescribed the 6c which my patients have reported as being the more effective of the two potencies.

I prescribed the Conium 6c to you to ensure that your Prostate does not continue to grow which it usually does without the patient's knowledge. I presume that you will continue to take this remedy as prescribed.

Thank u Dr Joe. As advised I will go back to Arnica 6c 3 times a day and Conium 6c 2 times a day. I was taking Sabal Sarrulata earlier. Should I take that one also

Dear Dr Joe , I am posting you with the progress.
I am taking both Arnica6c and Conium 6c wet dose regularly
The involuntary leakage persists
while I stand and move around.
If I sit there is absolutely
no leak. But I cant be sitting always. When I lie down and sleep in the night the leakage persists and this is revealed in my absorbant pad used.
The leakage is more now presumably due to shrinking process of the gland.I will continue the medicines and will report to you.I am now restricting my intake of water
even during day time.I stop taking water after 8 pm in the night. However due to warm weather in Chennai I am taking little during the night when I go for urination
which is 4to 5 times.Await your comments .

I am concerned to note that there does not seem to have been any improvement in your control of urine for the last 2 weeks which can indicate that the 2 remedies I prescribed to you are not helping your leakage problem. This is the danger of TURP as the surgeon is not fully aware of how deep he is cutting and this often results in incontinence. I have been treating patients for many years who had a similar problem to you and they were all helped except for one who was in the same position as you are now. He does however continue to use my therapy as it does seem to give him some modicum of control which is lacking without the remedies.

I do not advocate your reducing your intake of water as this is a sure way to precipitate other problems associated with your Kidneys which can include Kidney Stones. It is preferable not to court problems by restricting your liquid intake.

Let us continue with the same therapy for a whole month and then decide if you are really benefitting from my therapy or otherwise.

One way to check this matter is to stop all remedies for 3 days and observe the results which you will report here on the ABC.

Dear Dr Joe

As advised I am regulaly taking
both arnica and conium in wet dose. I find during night the amount of involuntary leak is reduced, but this is little erratic, some nights the pad used shows very little wetting and some nights it is wetting more , I am waiting to see consistancy. However I get up to
urinate 3 to 4 times .

During day time when I am on the move outside my house , I am getting the dribbling , but
when standing for a longer time it is more. I am trying to do the pelvic floor exercise
which I feel will control to certain extent . Any how I will watch for some more time and report to you. I also take more water during day and reduce my intake after my
dinner 8 pm

It is with some regret that I have to inform you that I feel after reading your reports that my therapy is not really helping you towards a permanent cure of your problem which was caused by the cutting device going in too deep into the neck of your bladder and destroying the muscles which control the flow of urine.

The blame for your surgical misadventure can be attributed to your surgeon who was inexperienced in the procedure and left you with a greater problem than you suffered before your surgery.

You may continue with the 2 remedies that I prescribed which you are using today but it is likely that it is only the Arnica that is helping you as the Conium is only able to control the regrowth of the Prostate tissue which in your case has been removed in a manner more than what was necessary during your TURP surgery.

You now know how to maintain your control to the best extent possible and all I can do at this stage is to wish you well and never to lose hope as miracles are yet possible.

In any event do not take any drugs which cannot help as much as the 2 remedies that I prescribed which are perfectly safe to be used in the long term.

I shall be interested in following your case and if you do decide to post your progress, I shall always be available to help you to the best of my ability.
