Hypo/Hyperthyroid

I've been recently diagnosed with both hypo and hyperthyroid. The problem is I don't know when I'm being affected one way or the other. I'm only 23 so it's important to me that I take the right care of myself while I'm young.

Symptoms I experience at times are:

Almost always tired
Sometimes stressed
eyes always red and tired whether I Get 8 to 12hrs sleep
I yawn alot (I have high CO2 levels)
within the last 2 years I've been losing hair.
sores have been breaking out on my arms and legs.

I recently had 2 major injuries

1. What exactly happens?
Over the passed 2 years I've slowly seen increased signs of abnormal bodily function. A few of these symptoms that stuck out to me are: Tired, stressed, red eyes, yawning, hair loss, and most recently itchy sores on legs and arms.
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
My eyes feel tired/heavy unless closed. Sometimes I've gone home early from work because pressure builds up around my temple if I don't close my eyes(only tree times this has happened).
One of my sores looks almost like ring-worm which I thought it maybe so I left it alone for 3 months and it didn't go around and has the same itchy sensation. The sores on my foot is round spotty with small bumps it has the same itchiness. Most recently new sores on the inside of my thigh that look like the ones on my feet but the bumps look more like acme. Also recently on the inside of my bicep and fore-arm the same sores appeared.
My yawning occurs when I get less than 10 hours of sleep. Like at 7-9hrs.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
I know gluten causes a lot of problems for many people so I cut it out of my diet and have been doing gluten free cooking. I think it is helping but I'm not entirely sure. Going to bed after 12pm definitely doesn't help the situations.
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
I have no idea what helps. I just know that sleeping is the only thing that brings relief
5. What triggers the problem into occuring?
Hypo/Hyperthyroid??
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
The problem has seemly been getting worse since the first symptoms 2 years ago.
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?
I was in Norway and cut my fingers. I started having noticeable symptoms 9 months later. the biggest change since then was less physical activity. My tendons were cut and I was able to play sports again a year later. Then this last September I had a serious indoor soccer injury where I completely tore my PCL and partially the ACL. I haven't been able to return to normal physical activity since. This all could be making it worse.

The stress I get isn't self inflicted as I easily deal with it. I manage pain well and other events in my life.

If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:

1. I love Peanut Butter and eat a lot.
2. I drink mostly water.
3. I get ~8hr a night.
4. I get nose bleeds every spring and fall. With weather change.
5. My nose is really sensitive to chemicals.
6. I love sports and always have the energy to play for hours and hours.
7. Unsure

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION

It is important to describe all your problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.

1. What exactly happens?
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occuring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?

Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU GIVE A COMPLETE PICTURE OF YOUR HEALTH BY PROVIDING ALL PROBLEMS YOU HAVE, EVEN IF NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN ONE, AND EVEN IF YOU CONSIDER IT OF LESS IMPORTANCE. You should address each problem separately using the above 7 questions as a guide.

As well as this, please describe any traumatic incidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.

Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.

Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior especially concerning your disease.

Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow, especially where this occurred around the beginning of your disease, or as the disease evolved.

Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases.

If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:

1. The specific foods that you crave (not just like) or hate
2. The specific drinks that you crave or hate
3. What your sleep is like
4. How the weather and the temperature affects you
5. What kinds of things in the environment you are particularly sensitive to
6. What your general level of energy is like
7. What your level of sexual energy or desire is like
8. Describe your menstrual cycle

So am I to understand that your Thryoid alternates between excessive activity and lowered activity? I don't believe I have seen a patient with both diagnoses simultaneously.

Most of the symptoms you seem to be describing seem to be related to hypothyroidism.

The common symptoms of a disease are not very useful for homoeopathic prescriptions. Nor are symptoms which are in themselves common to most diseases, or are given in a general undifferentiated way.

Undifferentiated symptoms are things like 'Tired', 'Weak', 'Pain', 'Itchy' etc.

It is important when relating your case to a homoeopath, to describe your symptoms in as much detail as possible, using as much imagery and colour as you can.

Describe (where you can):

Tired

Stressed

Heavy

Pressure builds up

Always have energy to play sports for hours and hours - describe more on this, as this is highly peculiar for someone with such low energy.

I need to imagine what it is like to have each of these symptoms.

Also expand on:

How were the fingers cut? Have you suffered any problem with them since then?

What kind of medical treatment did you receive for this injury?

Describe the difference between getting 10 hours sleep and getting 7 hours sleep for you.

What kind of health problems did you have earlier than this?

How do you manage your illness? How do you cope? What is the overall effect on your life?

What kind of illnesses run in your family?

Have you suffered any other kind of traumatic event in your life, including other serious physical injuries or wounds?

Do you go to sleep ok? Do you stay asleep all night? How do you wake in the morning? What position do you sleep in? Does anything disturb your sleep?

Do you remember your dreams, and if so give examples, particularly any reoccurring dreams you have ever had, or continue to have?

What kinds of chemical smells affect you? How exactly do they affect you?

What is your attitude to your illness? What do you see in your future if you remain uncured?

While you are awake, are there any activities that noticeably affect the tiredness? Does it feel the same every hour of the day?

Describe the sensation in the eyes, what doe they feel like?
